Our Director, Dr Peter Widdowson, recently attended a two-day plastic surgery workshop in Melbourne, joining more than 200 colleagues for in-depth discussions on current developments in facial rejuvenation surgery.

The program featured presentations from three specialist plastic surgeons from the United States, with a strong focus on facelift techniques — including deep plane facelifts — and the evolving understanding of facial ageing.

As a surgeon with a special interest in facial rejuvenation, Dr Widdowson values ongoing education and collaboration to ensure his knowledge and techniques remain current. A key theme of the workshop reinforced what he believes is central to good surgical planning: that facelift surgery should always be tailored to the individual, rather than applying a single technique to every patient.

Dr Widdowson performs a range of facelift procedures, including deep plane techniques, with recommendations made following careful consultation and personalised assessment.
