Our Director and Principal Registered Music Therapist, Monica and our Registered Music Therapist, Jorja brought waves of joy to Variety - the Children's Charity of Queensland "Motor Mouth Camp" with their music therapy session for AAC users.
Monica and Jorja had the absolute joy of running a ⛵ Sea Shanty-themed music therapy group 🎶at the 2025 Variety Motor Mouth Camp - a three-day event designed for children who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems and their families.
This 1.5-hour session was filled with rhythm, laughter and connection, helping AAC users express themselves through music in a safe, inclusive and fun environment. 🎵💬 From harmonizing with new friends to exploring instruments and movement, the energy was electric - they’re still buzzing from the experience!
We’re so proud to be part of a camp that empowers kids aged 6–17 to build confidence in their communication and gives families the tools to support AAC use at home. Thank you to for creating such a meaningful space for growth and joy.

Celebrating 50 years of music therapy leadership and impact - from vision to legacy to future.
🎉 2025 year marks a powerful milestone: the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA) turns 50! Founded in 1975 by pioneers, Ruth Bright and Denise Grocke, has grown from a visionary conversation into a vibrant national community of over a thousand Registered Music Therapists - including our passionate team at Tweedle.
To honour this legacy, AMTA has released a commemorative e-book, "Orchestrating Impact", spotlighting the people, practice and progress of music therapy in Australia. It’s a moving tribute to the trailblazers who shaped our field and a bold look ahead at the future of music therapy - one that’s more inclusive, innovative and accessible than ever.
We’re proud to be part of this evolving story - supporting people of all ages and abilities through the power of music and continuing to advocate for equitable access to therapy across communities.
🎶 Here's to the next 50 years of setting the tone for change, connection, and creativity.

🎶✨ A night of art, heart and harmony!
Our incredible Registered Music Therapists recently had the privilege of attending the Community Special School Art Auction - a beautiful event raising funds to keep the music therapy program thriving in the school.
They shared with the audience how music therapy supports student wellbeing, connection and expression, and took a moment to thank the school and the amazing team at for their ongoing support and belief in the power of music.
Together, we’re making sure every child has the chance to be heard, seen and celebrated - one note at a time🎵

Today, on Remembrance Day, we pause to honour the courage and sacrifice of all service people who have died in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
At QPAH, we reflect with gratitude and respect for those who have given their lives for our country and those who continue to serve.
At 11am, we join the nation in a minute’s silence to remember them.
May their legacy live on in our hearts and communities.
🌺 Lest We Forget 🌺

🎨 A night of colour, creativity and community spirit!
The Tweedle team had a fantastic time at the Currumbin Community Special School Art Auction, celebrating the incredible talents of the students and supporting a cause close to our hearts. The event raised much-needed funds for Kids In Need Foundation, who help sustain the school’s vital music therapy program - a powerful tool for expression, connection and growth.
We were also thrilled to have local legend, Spider Everett join us in support of the event - adding even more fun and community spirit to the celebration!
We’re proud to stand alongside Currumbin Community Special School and the wider community in championing inclusive education and creative therapies. Thank you to everyone who made the night so special.

🧠🎶 October is ADHD Awareness Month, and at Tweedle Music, we’re shining a light on how music can be a powerful ally in understanding and supporting neurodiverse individuals.

Music isn’t just about rhythm and melody - it’s a window into attention, regulation and emotional connection. In our sessions, we often see:
🥁 Improved focus and impulse control through structured musical play
🎤 Emotional expression and self-confidence blossom in safe, creative spaces
🎼 Musical responses that can help identify patterns linked to ADHD traits.

Whether it’s tapping to a beat, choosing instruments or engaging in musical storytelling, these moments offer valuable insights - and joyful breakthroughs.
Let’s celebrate the strengths of neurodiverse children and adults and continue advocating for early support, inclusive therapies and creative pathways to wellbeing.

🌟 It’s Hidden Disabilities Week, and at Tweedle, we’re amplifying understanding, empathy and the power of music to support those whose challenges may not be immediately visible.
Hidden disabilities (such as ADHD, autism, anxiety, sensory processing differences and learning disorders) can affect how individuals experience the world.
Through music, we create safe spaces where:
🎶 Expression flows without pressure
🧠 Regulation and focus are gently nurtured
💬 Communication builds through rhythm, sound and play
💛 Strengths shine in ways words alone can’t capture.
Music therapy meets each person where they are - offering connection, confidence and calm. It’s not just about notes and beats; it’s about being seen, heard and supported.
Let’s keep listening with compassion and celebrating every voice - especially the quiet ones.
