At Enlarge Living, we create SDA homes that make a real difference.

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is purpose-built for people with very high support needs, with features that promote independence and safe, effective care.

SDA homes come in four design categories:
🌱 Improved Livability - for sensory, cognitive or intellectual needs
🌱 Fully Accessible - for significant physical disabilities
🌱 Robust - durable homes for complex behaviours
🌱 High Physical Support - with advanced features like hoists and automation

This year, the Enlarge Living Newcastle team supported ‘Hope in a Suitcase’ Children’s Charity by donating items before Christmas.

The charity’s organiser has made it her mission to provide children entering foster care or out-of-home care with a suitcase filled with new essential items they can call their own - a gift that sends a message of hope and reminds them that they are worthy and cared for by their community.

Growing up in a family that fostered many children, she witnessed firsthand how these children often arrived with nothing, or with just a plastic bag containing a few belongings. This Christmas, she is hoping to provide love, joy, and a sense of hope to these amazing children, many of whom face overwhelming feelings such as loneliness, abandonment, fear, and uncertainty during the festive season.

It’s a reminder of the power of community and how small acts of kindness can make a lasting difference. We’re grateful to be involved.

This year, we’ve really focused on helping investors get involved in SDA in a meaningful way.

We start by chatting with our participants about where they’d love to live, who they want to live with, and the type of home that feels right for them. Then we work with our investors to bring those preferences to life, step by step.

It’s become such an important (and rewarding!) part of what we do at Enlarge Living. 🌱

Today we celebrate International Day of People with Disability - a day to raise awareness, promote inclusion, and recognise the contributions and achievements of people with disability in our community. 🌱

This year’s UN theme, “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress,” reminds us that inclusion is everyone’s responsibility and that real progress happens when every voice is valued.

At Enlarge Living, we’re proud to support people of all abilities to live with independence, confidence, and dignity - every day of the year.

Today, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we stand together to raise awareness and call for an end to gender-based violence.

This day marks the start of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a time to advocate for change, support survivors, and work toward a world where women and girls can live free from violence.

We all have a role to play- whether it’s speaking out, supporting survivors, or promoting gender equality.

Together, we can make a difference. 🌱
