Today is the International Day of People with Disability! 💙

IDPwD is a great reminder to celebrate the achievements of those living with a disability. Each and every one of us plays a role in creating and promoting an inclusive community in Australia.

At Access Orthotics, we are proud to support and empower individuals by providing orthotic care and devices that enhance mobility, comfort and independence. We are delighted with the opportunity to experience the uniqueness of people with disabilities every day and the joy that they bring!

Attention sporty people ⛹️⚠

PDE Struts are a great AFO option for active people who require ankle support and a greater energy return!

How do PDE Struts give you greater energy return? 🤨🔋
The design of the carbon 'strut' stores energy as it bends during movement and releases (returning to its original shape) as you walk. This helps with forward propulsion, adequate flexibility, and ankle strength.

Who are PDE struts for? 🤾‍♀️🤸‍♀️
An AFO PDE prescription can be a great option for active people who require more flexibility, especially kids. PDE Struts can be great for those who need some extra support during a wide range of activities like AFL, soccer, basketball, and hiking.
It can also be for people with a variety of different conditions who are less active but high-functioning.

Head shape transformation after 9 weeks of Helmet Therapy! 🤩

Our client went from moderate brachycephaly and severe plagiocephaly to mild brachycephaly and plagiocephaly after only 9 weeks of Helmet Therapy.

A wonderful effort by Mum and Dad, being consistent with Mr T's helmet wear every day for the duration of his treatment. 👏😄

When the fit matches your orthotics 🥰🎀

Miss Floss came to her review appointment looking pretty in pink! We were happy to see that her foot posture is supported and range is well maintained with her AFOs. We made some minor adjustments today to account for her growth and greater comfort until her next pair 🌈

Floss does an amazing job at wearing her AFOs daily for a full 8 hours. Mum is doing a great job at helping Flossy stick to her wearing schedule! 👏🏻

Day = Made 👏

The Mother of one of Chanel's clients brought in a wearing schedule for her daughter's first provision integration! We were very impressed to see that Chanel's client hit her integration goal every day for the last 2 weeks. She is on track to reach her developmental milestones!

A big clap for Mum's tracking skills and encouraging her daughter to wear her interventions as advised 😊

This versatile material is used to print SMOs, custom shoe modifications, custom footwear, WHO liners, and so much more. There are also 5 bright and beautiful colours to choose from! 🌈

Our clinician Rachel is working her 3D modeling magic to bring this custom orthotic design to life. With 3D modeling, we’re able to create orthoses that are not only highly precise and custom-fit, but also feature your own personal touch.
