How long should I stretch for?
It’s totally dependent on the individual- some people will feel more comfortable stretching than others. If you’re used to being sedentary or non athletic, getting stretched will likely be difficult, but if you’re very fit and athletic you may find it easy. Start where it’s comfortable for you. If you can only stretch for 10 seconds, do that. If you can last 30 seconds, do that. Whenever you stretch, take a breath or two and get out of your stretch slowly. Repeat 2 to 3 times as a starting point and increase as you feel more comfortable.
