Zenn Ability, in partnership with the Panthers Foundation, invited us to join them for a special celebration this International Day of People with Disability (IDOPWD).

We were able to witness and hear about the collaborative work being done to create opportunities for people with disabilities to connect, grow, and shine through inclusive sport and community programs, particularly through their Play Like a Panther program.

We saw the energy, joy, and sense of belonging as kids proudly wore the Panthers colours and enjoyed a day dedicated to footie and celebrating ability in all its forms.

Huge shoutout to everyone who took part in REE's Run last Sunday at Knapsack Oval in Glenbrook! We were so proud to see some of our amazing staff lace up their shoes and join the community for a fantastic morning. Kate and Charnee tackled the accessible course together. Smiles all around and great vibes!

The Ree Foundation works to increase inclusion and opportunity for people with disabilities and shift perceptions about what they can achieve. It was a fantastic day of community, fitness, and purpose!

Are myths about Art Therapy keeping you from engaging with this therapy? Let's look at the facts!

We frequently encounter misconceptions that prevent people from accessing this specialised and effective mental health service. The biggest barrier? Believing you need artistic talent.

Reality Check: Art Therapy is led by a master's-level clinician and uses the creation process to facilitate psychological, emotional, and relational growth. It is a clinical practice, not a casual hobby.

P.S. Parents: This is an incredibly effective tool for children because little ones don't need words to express big feelings!

Swipe to find out the 3 biggest misconceptions that we are dismantling!

Stop thinking linear! The Autistic experience—and neurodiversity as a whole—is far more complex than a straight line.

It's far more helpful to see strengths and support needs represented on a Diversity Wheel!

A wheel visually captures how a person's abilities, strengths, and support needs are multifaceted and dynamic across multiple key areas. It highlights that every individual has a unique, spiky profile—not just one single point on a spectrum.

Recognizing neurodiversity as a spectrum wheel is one of the best ways we can create a truly supportive and accommodating environment for everyone.

In this interview by ABC Radio National Breakfast, learn how a public primary school in Canberra has chosen Australian sign language — Auslan — as its second language for all its students and is actively fostering a more inclusive learning environment.

Listen here:

The Disability Royal Commission highlighted many failings for people with disabilities, with some commissioners recommending that segregated schools be phased out by 2051.
