I am a big advocate of relaxation/meditation and practising it in a sustainable way as a part of a holistic health approach. When life gets busy and stressful, it is even more important. I have recently discovered Insight Timer app and absolutely love it (no, I don't get paid to say that). I love that it's a free app with many thousands of guided meditations and other relaxation options, some as short as one minute. We don't have to be able to meditate for half an hour or more for it to be effective. A short meditation regularly is often more achievable and less intimidating. Here is one of my current faves. It's just 2 minutes... that's doable, right?

My challenge to you - a meditation a day. Even if it's one minute long.

**COVID-19 UPDATE: PHYSIOTHERAPY STILL OPEN FOR BUSINESS.**
The Prime Minister has tonight announced closure of more services, however, essential services are to remain open. Amongst the essential services are health professionals. The Prime Minister has specifically mentioned Physiotherapists as being allowed to and encouraged to continue to work.
So, yes, I am still open for business to look after you during this time and to continue to assist you with your musculoskeletal concerns.
It is important that we all take care of our health during this time both for your own well being as well as to ease pressure on medical services.
Rest assured that I continue to do all that I can, as always, to ensure that the clinic is a safe and clean environment so that I can continue to help you with your Physiotherapy needs.

Today Allyson Sturrock Physiotherapy celebrates its 1 year anniversary!!!

I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to all who have supported me - to those who have encouraged me, come to see me for Physiotherapy or referred others. A massive THANK YOU to you! I greatly appreciate it. Your support means more than you know.
An extra special thank you to Mary Hawkes who knew I was capable of this well before I did and who persevered in preparing me and building me up until I was ready. Also to my husband, Craig Sturrock, who has supported me and stood by me throughout this journey.
