It is an exciting moment to share a little expansion in our world of healing and bodywork ✨
Jess has joined the Sol Motion massage team, and will be offering remedial, pregnancy and therapeutic massage treatments right here in St Helens at Sun Rock Studio.

Jess brings a calming, grounded presence and a beautifully balanced style — firm when needed, intuitive when the body asks, and always centred around supporting your nervous system to unwind.

Her treatments are perfect for:

• low back pain
• stress and burnout
• myofascial tightness
• deep restorative rest

So grateful to be given the opportunity to teach to a full room this morning at with the beautiful Ellie Innis ❤️

Date change! Now 24th Feb
We have had a lot of requests to change the date, and to be honest…. Great idea everybody 😂 January was a crazy/wonderful rollercoaster blur and I can’t believe it’s already February! So hopefully this new date gives everyone a chance to take a full, slow and steady breath before booking into some yoga and Clay magic ✨
Plus Pip will be one year older and hopefully wiser by the time this date rolls around 😉🧘‍♀️🌻

Come and celebrate the Summer Solstice with a gentle, warming yoga flow on Friday 22nd of Dec at Ring Rock (near Dark Hollow beach). Suitable to anyone and everyone 🧘‍♀️🤸‍♂️

Welcome the sun as it wakes and set your energy for the summer ahead ☀️

This is a free event but donations are welcome! 🙏

WTF is Tom Myers (founder of Anatomy Trains) holding?? ....
Have you ever wondered what your respiratory diaphragm actually looks like? This is a mould of your pelvis and spine as well as your psoas muscles and then the umbrella shape on the top is the muscle known as your respiratory diaphragm.

Did you also know that as well as your respiratory diaphragm, you also have other diaphragms in the body?? Depending on the source of your information there are a total of 5-9 diaphragms within the body, including one in your pelvis (Pelvic floor), upper chest, throat and even your skull 🤯.

Just like any other muscle in the body these diaphragms need to be kept happy and healthy through activation, relaxation and gentle manipulation. They are the true 'centres' of the body in so many ways.. if they are not functioning correctly it can throw everything else out.

If you've had a Body Balance session with me, I may have suggested we release the respiratory diaphragm. And now you know why.

After all, breath is vital.

There is so much research now highlighting the gut-brain connection and how important a healthy digestive system is. Food is important, but so is environment. If your digestive organs are cramped into a tense and tight space with reduced blood flow and constant tension, you're asking a lot of your gut under some very tough working conditions. Visceral massage is a gentle and effective way to help reduce the tension and improve gut mobility as well as motility (ability to contract and relax to perform their functions) and can also help to relieve physcial and mental stress held in this area. Good for your gut, good for you.
