It’s been an absolute honour and great fun to be your AMA NSW President for the past 2 years. But my term has come to an end and with great pride I hand over the reigns to my friend Dr Michael Bonning. You’ll see some changes on this page in the coming days and I look forward to seeing what he brings to this next chapter. Thank you all for your support ☺️

A huge thank you to all the GPs out there and Happy Family Doctor Day. There is a lot of work to be done to modernise Medicare and support General Practice to continue their fabulous work. Today we stop to remember that GPs have kept their doors open throughout the pandemic and are there to care for us all

A huge welcome to all the medical interns starting in hospitals across NSW today. Such challenging times, but we need you more than ever. Remember, that even in the current environment, you're here to learn as you work. So please ask questions of your seniors, reach out if you feel out of your depth, and support each other. Sorry I can't be there to meet you all in person this week - but let's hope 2022 allows a few social events eventually!!

Glad to hear there’s a plan to get kids back to school. Remember there’s no single solution - it takes vaccination, ventilation, masks and RAT surveillance. And keep your children home if they have any symptoms 😷📚✏️

We can’t stay closed forever. And I know lockdowns are hard. But we can’t yet open safely. Keep up the great work on vaccines and we will get there
