💜 It’s time for a reintroduction 💜
👩🏻My name is Kyrie (pronounced Kirri) and I’m blessed to be a Mum to a 5yo and 6mo 💙🩷 and happily married for 6 years 💍 Fun Fact: We eloped in our backyard 2 hours after I had finished a run of 5 night shifts, because of the pandemic 🦠 😷 It was bliss! 💫
🏥 I’ve been a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife for 8 years, working at two tertiary hospitals in paediatrics and maternity, as well as a period of casual work at a laser Tongue Tie clinic. 🚼
🗓️ In December 2023 I qualified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and founded Rainbow Road Lactation. 🌈
🤱🏻 I breastfed my first child until almost 4yo, something I will treasure forever. Our feeding journey is what inspired me to become interested in the science, challenges and magic of the breastfeeding experience and normal baby behaviour 🪄
❤️🩹 In my first postpartum I struggled with postnatal depression and anxiety, but with the help of a psychologist I learned about Matrescence and living a values based life. 🌲
🧠Becoming a Mother forced me to look inward and identify what was no longer serving me and let it go. To achieve happiness and confidence, I had to think about what I wanted for myself and my family in the short and long-term. I also had to learn how to follow my instincts with my children, in a world that largely encourages mothers against doing so🫀
👣Each step in my life, personally and professionally; easy and hard, has brought me here. I am very grateful to the families who allow me into their space to help them transition into parenthood and nourish their babies.💪🏻
