We are so excited to launch our new program, this initiative is being run through Sims Support Coordination and is run out of J&D's Farm Sanctuary.

Since moving to the country we have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, and witness first hand the meaningful interactions and experiences people have had meeting the animals.

We want to open our doors to people with a disability to come to the sanctuary and work on their goals, whether that be social connection, working on independence skills or gaining work experience - there are so many opportunities!

Check out the amazing story of Karen and her support dogs, it has been quite an emotional journey for her as the love she has for all the dogs who have come into her life is so great, Karen has to remain strong as they retire and the need to welcome a new companion into her life comes along. It really is an emotional rollercoaster.

Karen Hiam would "be lost" without her assistance dog Brandy. But soon, her furry friend will be retiring, and Karen wants to avoid developing what's known as successor dog syndrome.

Please help this lovely young couple, they have been waiting for years to live and spend more time together. In order to safely and independently travel together they need to purchase a very specific van/vehicle in order for NDIA to consider funding any necessary modifications, though the NDIA will not cover any cost of purchasing the vehicle.
The cost of these vehicles are so high it is not a reality for many, but it would be great to make it a reality for these two!
