Have you been told you have high cholesterol? I certainly have recently, but I feel confident in knowing that (a) it’s not actually high and (b) I can do something about it using nutritional medicine. No statins needed thank you very much.
But having the confidence to look at your results and understand them is the key.
First thing to note is that what is MORE important than cholesterol is your triglycerides. You definitely do not want a high level of fat floating around in your blood stream as this can’t end well. If you have high triglycerides, you need to address this. Again, food as medicine and potentially some well chosen herbs/supplements can help here.
Secondly, you need to have good levels of the ‘good cholesterol’ known as HDL (it’s actually not good as such, it’s just moving cholesterol out of your organs and tissues).
Thirdly, if your LDL (‘bad cholesterol’) is high, it is telling you there is inflammation in your body and you need to deal with this, not simply suppress cholesterol production with a drug. LDL is transporting cholesterol into organs and tissues to try to put out a fire. Don’t blame the cholesterol for starting the fire.
If you don’t know where the fire is or why it started, I can help. Book a FREE 15 minute discovery call today. https://deniseberrynaturopath.com
