Today is World Yoga Day 🧘🏻♀️

A beautiful reminder of what we practice together every week: showing up for ourselves, breathing through the hard bits and creating space to just be (plus having a bit of fun along the way!).

Whether you're drawn to the mindful movement of Slow Flow, the energising rhythm of Flow or the deep rest of Restore, come and join us on the mat!

At the end of December, my mum had a brain hemorrhage.

In that moment, I knew my life would never be the same.
Not gradually, not hypothetically, but forever changed.

I spent the six nights and seven days by her side.
Watching. Waiting. Loving.

I noticed everything.
How soft her hair was.
How smooth her skin felt as I stroked it.
How beautiful her nails were, as they always had been, while I held her hand.

I wasn’t trying to be brave or positive.
I wasn’t thinking about what came next.
I was fully there, consciously embracing every moment for what it was.

After mum passed away, I made deliberate choices.
I stepped back from work, responsibility and expectations.
And empowered myself to take time,
to grieve,
be gentle with myself
and not rush myself back into life.

Both of my parents have now passed away. I’m an only child.
I knew this marked a significant transition in my life and I'm treating it that way.

Underneath the sadness, there is a deep knowing.
Everything I’d lived through since mum’s first brain hemorrhage 19 months earlier had strengthened me.
I know the same resilience and determination that lived in my mum, is embodied in me.

And now, I’m consciously stepping forward into what comes next.
Not forcing anything.
Not pretending this hasn’t changed me.

Just standing in who I am now.

I’m so proud of the person I’ve become.

My work is not theory for me.
It comes from lived experience.

You don’t plan the moment you realise something has to change.

Life gets fuller, you take on more and you keep managing everything… because you’re a superstar and you can!

Then suddenly the start of the year rolled around and you'd barely caught your breath after surviving last year 😲

And maybe it's in a moment like that you finally say to yourself, f*ck this… I’m not going to keep living like this.

You’re not looking for a quick fix. And you’re not looking for someone to rescue you or tell you what to do!

You’re looking for your own cheerleader and support that actually changes how life feels.

I meet a lot of women who are overwhelmed and just so damn tired of holding everything together.

They’re very capable. They’ve built lives, careers, families. They’ve learned how to cope, push through and be dependable for everyone else.

And as part of carrying that mental load, the feeling of being overwhelmed stopped being occasional and became constant.

They constantly feel like they’re behind, no matter how much they do.

Their poor old nervous systems have been asked to do too much for too long.

The answer isn’t adding another thing to your already full plate. It’s learning how to care for yourself in a way that actually changes how life feels.

I’ve always been a late bloomer.

I worked overseas at 24 when most of my peers did that straight out of school.

I ran my first half marathon at 36 while others had ticked that off in their 20's.

I got married at 38! By then, most of my friends had kids who were well into their schooling.

I became a yoga teacher at 42! That one raised a few eyebrows 😂

I’d spent 17 years working my way up the ladder in corporate. I was good at it. I worked hard. And then I realised I didn’t want that life anymore.

So I left.

Looking back now, I can see I was never behind. I was always exactly where I was meant to be.

What I was really learning was how to manage overwhelm. I used to be incapacitated by it.

Perfectionism. People pleasing. The weight of expectations. All of it.

But over time, I learned how to look after myself instead of constantly pushing.

I’ve done that work. I’m still doing that work. And now it feels like the right time to pass it on.

The 3E Method™ comes from real life. Lived experience. Successes and of course, all the failures.

It’s what I’ve leaned on when things felt messy, overwhelming or uncertain.

And it’s what I now share with women who are ready for something steadier.

Remember what matters most is the people you care for, those special moments and the time you spend together.
