MEET EDWARD (ED)
M Phty | B Sp & Ex Sc
Physiotherapist
“I love my Lego so you could say I have a passion for building things that last, a piece at a time. You can trust that every piece of your recovery is meticulously planned and built with clear direction and intent.”
Edward is the newest addition to our team. Having experienced his fair share of bumps and bruises through sport in his younger years, Ed understands first-hand how frustrating injuries can be—and how difficult it can sometimes be to follow your physio’s advice.
Ed takes pride in building genuine connections with his patients. He enjoys getting making people laugh, while guiding them through a structured rehabilitation process that helps them recover properly, rebuild confidence, and return stronger to the activities they love.
Outside the clinic, he enjoys staying active and understanding movement from multiple perspectives through hobbies such as boxing, bouldering, running, and Oztag. He also loves exploring new foods, cultures, and experiences—bringing the same curiosity and enthusiasm into his work with patients at FXNL.
Special Interests: Sports injuries, ankle/foot pain, lower back pain
NRL Team: Canberra Raiders
We hope everyone has had a decent break and as we get back into the swing of things, we just want to let you know that the clinic will be CLOSED from January 11th to the 18th. We RE-OPEN on January 19th at 2:00pm.

Hi everyone, It has been a while since you’ve received a blog from us. Today’s gem specifically focuses on the impact of contrast training on muscular performance in regards to physiotherapy.
Here is a little snippet..
“Are you looking to improve your athletic performance and optimize your workouts? Consider incorporating ‘Contrast Training’ into your routine. Also known as complex training, this popular technique alternates between two exercises with contrasting characteristics to enhance neuromuscular activation and produce more force and power.
What is Contrast Training?
Contrast training is a training technique that pairs a heavy strength exercise with a plyometric movement pattern targeting the same muscle group or movement pattern. By alternating between these exercises, contrast training enhances neuromuscular activation, leading to increased muscle force production, power, and speed.”

We are an innovative healthcare company who believes that a combination of manual therapy and movement is imperative for restoring highly functioning individuals.
At FXNL Rehab, we look to identify how our body's musculoskeletal relationship interacts with each other, and how to keep our body both stable and efficient throughout our movement patterns. We believe in the uniqueness of everybody and always strive to address the cause of your problems, not just your symptoms because we understand that everybody is different. To achieve this, we individually tailor your assessment and treatment through 1-on-1 sessions, and formulate a rehab plan to help you achieve your goals as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We aspire to change the game, be influential in our industry and change the perception of what healthcare brings to the table. Physiotherapy today should not be what we knew 30 years ago. We keep an open mind and want to take advantage of new knowledge, evidence, and thought processes to empower our patients with the best advice possible for a better lifestyle and healthy living.
We treat people, not just pain. We want to enhance the patient experience and set the new standard of expectations for all.
At FXNL Rehab, we believe in thorough whole body assessments and individualised treatments. In an industry where there are always refinements to the way we treat, we strive to ensure we provide the best and most updated treatment techniques that are tailored to reduce your pain, better your movement and improve your function.
We believe the human body is engineered to move and it is often through immobility and poor life habits that we start experiencing problems. Life is continuous and moves quickly, it doesn't wait for anybody. Don't let pain stop you from getting the most out of life.
