A really cool thing happened today. Bri has been offered to attend the Qld Ballet for Brain injury saviours classes next year. Best bit is it will be fully funded :O

The updates have been a bit overdue as we have been flat out with flooding under our house where our study area is :/ And unfortunately, we have lost one of our beautiful support workers to the angels after complicated medical issues :(. So, we have had to interview and try and find more workers as her and her daughter were working together to support Bri. And understandably her daughter has needed to take time of work.

On the good news tho, Bri's arm has healed without the need for surgery :D. And is now sling free after 10 weeks of being in it basically 24/7. She does have a little bit of bone sticking out like a bone spur on the humerus head, but this can be shaved down via keyhole surgery down the track if it causes issues. She will be starting physio after Christmas to get the range of motion back in the arm.

Just as we were finishing all the pre op stuff for Bri with the nurse the surgeon comes in. Head surgeon said no surgery as they don't think they can fix it much more than what it is healing as. More scans in 2 weeks to confirm. Talk about last minute. They had the OR ready for her and everything.

Brianna's surgery is on Monday. Have to be there at 6am! Pre admission appointment tomorrow.

Please can this be the last hospital thing for a while. Only been dealing with one of us admitted each year since 2018!!! I need a break.

On a massive positive. Matt's scans and bloods came back. Still in remission from cancer :D .

Surgery within the next two weeks to insert metal. May need another surgery down the track to remove metal once bone healed.
