Our school holiday group sessions started this morning with our 'Brick by Brick' Skill Builders group!

OTs Beth & Emma guided the group through a structured build while modelling and supporting skills such as:
💙 Turn-taking
💜 Functional communication
🧡 Emotional regulation
💛 Fine motor skills

We're so excited to introduce our newest Occupational Therapist, Bethany!

Bethany graduated from the University of Queensland in 2024 and has spent her early career delivering outreach services to regional, rural and remote communities. With experience as an Allied Health Assistant, she brings strong hands-on skills and a genuine passion for supporting children.

Bethany loves helping children build skills in emotional regulation, self-care, motor development and social connection. Bethany is dedicated to making therapy fun, engaging and meaningful by following each child’s interests and empowering them to take the lead.

Outside work, Bethany enjoys reading, crocheting, walking, spending time with loved ones, singing, and discovering new cafes, especially after a beach trip!

Meet Hannah, our newest Physiotherapist at Lifespan Therapies!

Hannah joined us last month as an Allied Health Assistant and is excited to continue her journey with us as a Physiotherapist. She is passionate about collaborative, child-centred care and loves supporting children of all ages to build confidence, independence, and joy in their daily activities.

With experience as a learn-to-swim instructor and nanny, Hannah brings a warm, play-based approach to therapy, with particular interests in developmental delay and neurodevelopment.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find her at the beach with family, training for a half marathon, enjoying reformer pilates, or cheering on the Lions and Broncos.

We’re so thrilled to have Hannah on the team! ✨

Brick by Brick: Skill Builders Group

A fun, therapist-led group designed for children who love to build, connect, and create!

Through play-based activities (including LEGO® and similar tools), our Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists help children strengthen social communication, teamwork, and emotional regulation, all while having fun in a supportive, inclusive environment.

✨ For children aged 6–12 years
📍 Lifespan Therapies, Brendale
🕒 One-off sessions over the December/January school holidays
💚 Sessions are 90 minutes, priced at $90. It may be eligible for NDIS funding, depending on your child’s plan goals and funding allocation.

Big news - We’re moving!

We’ve outgrown our cosy Strathpine clinic, and while we’ll always have a soft spot for our very first home, we’re so excited to be moving just 5 minutes down the road to our brand new space in Brendale!

Our team has been busy behind the scenes creating a welcoming, purpose-built environment designed especially for the children and families we support. We can’t wait for you to see it!

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to make this move as smooth and positive as possible 🌈
