I hope everyone has enjoyed doing whatever their body needed over the past two weeks with Christmas festivities and New Year celebrations.
As we kick off a New Year, most of you have been likely bombarded with “make your new year resolutions” and “New Year / New You” bu****it.
I recommend ignoring those messages.
Why?
Because a resolution means to resolve a problem and “new you” suggests the problem is YOU.
Which the problem isn’t you!
The problem is in a world of so much misinformation and a diet industry that is worth over $297 billion with an 85% failure rate...
The problem is A LOT of people in the health and fitness industry only want your money and do not care for your health, happiness or longevity.
So my TOP recommendation this year is to QUIT NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS and on top of that, to quit DIETS as well.
What to do instead?
📝Set an intention or a word.
Intentions or a specific word allow you to alignwith the best version of yourself.
It allows you to ebb and flow and be flexible with whatever the world throws at you this year BUT still being able to feel like you can succeed.
Instead of thinking about all the ways you “failed” last year to stick to your healthy habits or achieve your goals…
Think of who you want to be!
Do you want to be:
❓Healthier?
❓More organised?
❓Stronger?
❓More positive?
❓Confident?
After you’ve set your intention then it’s time to set actionable steps (goals) that align with your intention and help you become the best version of yourself.
Then take it one step at a time!!
Remember you don’t need a total overhaul, you don’t need a quick fix or a detox.
Sustainable habits that feel achievable is going to set you up for the best results overtime.
This isn’t setting you up so you have to repeat this cycle EVERY YEAR and spend more money on programs and products (like most of the health industry recommends).
