Then to soak up all the benefits of exercise for your health, metabolism, longevity and mood, try including:
💪 More NEAT movement
Park further away, take the stairs instead of the elevator, less sitting more moving.
💪 2-3x strength training sessions
They don’t have to be big gym sessions.
Choose a weight where you can get to 6-8 reps but the last 2 reps are a struggle. Repeat 2-3x
Focus on compound movements like squats, lunges, deadlifts, hip thrusts, rows, push ups, presses.
Progressively overtime make the move harder (heavier, more powerful, change the tempo)
💪 Get the heart pumping
Run, Skip, swim, cycle… go for endurance with zone 2 training then once a week go for gold with SIT training.
20-30 seconds of your hardest effort - sprint, jump, kettlebell swing, ball slam, skip. Choose the impact style that works for you.
Then rest for 2 minutes before you do it all again 4-5x
15 minutes and you’ve got yourself an endorphin hit, heart healthy workout.
