Well, a revamp of our stretch yoga class
Mobility is the key to better range of movement, flexibility, injury prevention and active recovery.

This class combines myofascial releases, mobility training and stretches to assist your body to feel freer and move with strength and ease.

Perfect for all levels!

This is absolutely the most comprehensive and effective way to improve mobility, flexibility and my absolute favourite way to train my body!
Practicing this, even once a week, will absolutely transform your posture and functional movement!!

The class is completed with a breathwork practice to improve your overall health and vitality…

I can’t wait for you to try it!

MOBILITY

As an example of how our range of movement reduces over time, let’s say, somebody that worked at an office desk all day, that gets up out of bed, gets into the car (sits down), drives to work, sits at the desk all day, goes back to their car, sits down in the car, drives home, sits on the couch, goes to bed.

Does that on repeat …

And now has a sore lower back, tight shoulders, poor digestion, low energy, low motivation, lowered immune system, poor posture.

I have seen how bodies adapt to their environment- if we tend to sit a lot, our body will adjust accordingly and tighten in certain areas and weaken in others.

But, the good news is, that our body adapts and so if we strengthen our body and stretch and release tight muscles, we will see improved posture, better range of movement, improved breathing ability, improved stress responses, improved digestion, circulation and immunity!

Movement is medicine.

Over the next few days I’ll post some simple movements that only take minutes and your body will thank you for!

When you lie down in do you actually allow your body to fully rest?

We now know how valuable resting our body is for the rejuvenation of our body at a cellular level, but it is not just as simple as lying down.
You may notice that you become restless, agitated, and your mind starts to get busier 🤯
You have heard the phrase

The more you practice lying down after yoga class and give your body permission to rest, you are rewiring and activating new neural networks to ‘teach’ your body and mind how to rest.

In such a busy world, we are constantly training ourselves to do more, multi task, needing constant stimulation and with that we ‘unlearn’ how to really rest consciously.

Yoga is a perfect way to retrain yourself to then be able to find balance between the doing and the being..

To reap the benefits of yoga (even though you can feel the effects from your very first class)

Consistent practice - it doesn’t have to be HARD, it just has to be consistent

Learn the art of breathing - hang on… don’t we breathe all the time? Yes, but when you learn to coordinate breath with movement in Yoga, your practice will become a moving meditation. You also learn the techniques of breathing that can rebalance your mind and body 🙏

Step on your mat with a nonjudgmental attitude- egos are left at the door!. Show up to your practice with curiosity and gratitude rather than impatience and self-judgment. Watch your practice shift from negative inner dialogue, to self compassion. This will support you on and off the mat!

Forget the gram! This is not a practice just to post for likes 🤣Do your practice for YOU. Your inner self, for inner reflection. Your soul will give you all the likes and kudos you need 😘

And finally for today - don’t let fear hold you back from coming to a class… you don’t have to look a certain way, you don’t have to be able to touch your toes, you don’t need a label on your outfit.

An afternoon of divine practices to reset and rebalance your body, mind and soul.
Join me for an afternoon of therapeutic yoga practices, mindful macrame and crystal crafting, nutritious lunch (with recipes to take home!) and closing with an immersion of breathwork and sound bath meditation.
This is a retreat for those of you who may have never practiced yoga before and also for those students who may have had years experience 🙏

Yin and Sound

Yin yoga is a combination of floor based restorative stretches (all levels welcomed) accompanied by a soundscape of music, mantra and sound healing.

Tuesday, now at 8 am

Hatha and Yin Yoga

A class combination of Hatha yoga in a form of slow flowing movements followed by some long held stretches on the floor to promote mobility, relaxation and body/mind wellbeing

Friday at 6.15pm

Yoga for the community :)

Support our upcoming yoga teachers as they complete their training, as they teach you a beginner level yoga class.
