Paschimottanasana - Seated Forward Fold
Today we are visiting a seated forward fold and how blocks can completely transform the experience.
In the first photo, I’m sitting on a block to slightly lift my hips off the ground. This allows me to sit more comfortably, releasing tension and tightness from the back of my legs. This makes the pose more accessible, without compromising alignment.
In the second photo, I’m using a block to deepen the pose. Here I am holding the block at the base of my feet. This lengthens the reach. A further reach, creates a deeper fold.
Same pose. Same prop. Different needs.
