Omnia Community Health

Omnia Community Health Serving the Hume, Macedon Ranges, Mitchell, Murrindindi and Strathbogie local government areas.

Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health is a not-for-profit community health organisation, providing a range of services that respond to the needs of Sunbury, the Macedon Ranges and its surrounding communities. We care about the health of our community as an entire population. We are concerned not just about ill-health and treatment of disease, but about the factors that actually predict whether someone is healthy, like strong families, social cohesion and mental health, as well as the prevalence of risks such as obesity, tobacco, alcohol and drug use, family violence, problem gambling, and vulnerabilities that come from low incomes or ageing. We believe that it’s in making improvements to these factors that we make the biggest difference to health and wellbeing overall. While we are available to the entire community of Sunbury, the Macedon Ranges and its surrounds, we prioritise our services to those whose health and wellbeing is vulnerable or at risk. We invest our efforts where evidence exists that needs exist, and where we have evidence of approaches that work. For our Terms of Use for this page go to:

Community Cook Up!

What does an amazing group of passionate Kyneton High School students and staff, plus funding from a VicHealth Growing Healthy Communities grant & support from Sunbury and Cobaw Community result in? 380 yummy meals donated to Kyneton Community House community meals program!

As Claire Rawlinson (CEO, Kyneton Community House) says, “It has been amazing getting this boost to our weekly food security meals - the students at Kyneton High School did an incredible job and many in the community have benefited. Beyond meeting basic needs, this program has fostered connection, belonging and mutual support within the community.”

Over a three-week period, students prepared generous batches of chicken and corn soup, veggie-loaded spaghetti bolognese and butter chicken with vegetable curry. Meals donated go directly to people in our community who are unable to cook for themselves at home.

Anyone facing food insecurity can contact Kyneton Community House on (03) 5422 3433 or email: admin@kynetoncommunityhouse.org.au to access meals, no questions asked.

Alternatively, just drop in to 34 Mollison Street, Kyneton between 9am and 3pm Monday - Thursday.

Huge thanks to the Kyneton High School students, staff and everyone involved in making this happen!

Everyone has the right to feel equal, safe, and respected. For every day of our lives, not just for 16. Today is Human Rights Day which marks the end of 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence. At Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health we know that everyone has the right to feel equal, safe, and respected every day of the year.

This is not the case in Australia, where every nine days a woman is killed by her current or former partner. One in two trans and gender-diverse people have experienced sexual violence or coercion. Sadly, the northern metropolitan region has higher family violence rates than the Victorian state average.

By taking action everyday we are all working together to build an equitable, safe, and respectful community for all, where everyone can thrive.

We want to acknowledge that family violence can affect anyone, and that support is available:
