This could be a great option for some of our community!
Kairos Community College invests in Nambour’s future with new campus opening January 2026
Nambour is on the rise, and Kairos Community College is joining the wave of investment transforming the town.
Kairos Community College, a fee-free Special Assistance School for young people in Years 10-12, will open its new Nambour campus in January 2026, marking a major commitment to local education and community growth.
Kairos Community College is a non-profit senior secondary school offering flexible, student-centred learning for young people in Years 10-12 who have disengaged from mainstream education.
With campuses in Kairos Community College Deception Bay and Kairos Community College Caloundra and a new campus opening in Nambour in 2026, Kairos provides a model of education that integrates wellbeing, community, and academic achievement.
The College maintains a 100% QCE attainment rate and has twice received the Fisher Education Provider of the Year Award.
The college will operate from a temporary site at 66-68 Currie Street in 2026 while construction begins on a purpose-built campus at 32 Coronation Avenue, scheduled for completion in 2027.
This modern facility will provide a welcoming, flexible learning environment for students who need a different approach to succeed.
Thanks to its central location and proximity to the rail corridor, Kairos Nambour campus is expected to serve students not only from Nambour but also from surrounding communities including Eumundi, Noosa Hinterland, Yandina, Rosemount, Palmwoods, Woombye, Mapleton, Maleny, Landsborough, Buderim, and Maroochydore.
Kairos is growing with its students; starting with Year 10 in 2026, adding Year 11 in 2027, and offering the full Year 10-12 program by 2028.
“Bringing Kairos to Nambour means more young people can access a small, supportive learning environment close to home,” said Tony Andrews, Executive Principal.
“Our model prioritises relationships, wellbeing, and flexible pathways so students can rebuild confidence and re-engage with their education.”
This expansion aligns with the surge of private investment revitalising Nambour, as highlighted in recent reports. Kairos is proud to be part of this momentum, investing in a campus that will serve local families for years to come. The college is already partnering with local schools and community organisations to ensure a strong start.
An Enrolment Information Morning will be held in Nambour on Thursday, 13 November, and enrolment enquiries are now open for students entering Years 10-12 in 2026.
