We love this important reminder from Queensland Health: every breast is different, and changes—big or small—matter. 💗
Look after yourself by checking regularly and speaking to your GP if something doesn’t seem right.
Free screening is available for women 40+ through BreastScreen Queensland, and it remains one of the best tools for early detection.

Crust is normal on toast but not on your ni***es. 😔

Every breast is different, and what’s normal for one person may not be normal for another.

Breast changes can be a sign or symptom of breast cancer (but could also have other causes). It's important to look out for changes in your breasts and have any changes checked by a health professional. 🙌

Some have been mentioned in the graphic, but here is the other list of changes to look out for:
👉 A new lump or lumpiness, especially if it’s only in one breast.
👉 Changes in size or shape.
👉 Changes to the ni**le, like crusting, redness, or it being pulled in.
👉 Ni**le discharge without squeezing.
👉 Skin changes like redness, puckering, or dimpling (like orange peel).
👉 Unusual pain that doesn’t go away.

Early detection is your best protection. BreastScreen Queensland offers free breast screening for women aged 40 and over who haven’t noticed any changes. Screening is most effective for women aged 50–74.

No matter your age, if something feels off, see your GP. And men, yes, breast cancer can happen to you too—if you notice anything unusual, get it checked immediately.

Because knowing your normal is the first step to protecting your health. 💅
