So many people come in telling me the same thing... “I just don’t feel like myself.” Low energy, foggy thinking, breakouts, bloating, feeling inflamed for no obvious reason. And often, the answer isn’t dramatic at all. It’s the quiet build-up of everyday toxins the body keeps trying to manage on its own.

Small changes can ease that load. Clean, filtered water. Fresh, organic food when possible. Swapping plastics for glass, especially with anything warm. Choosing gentle, non-toxic cleaners and skincare. Even improving the air you breathe — a purifier, a HEPA vacuum, or a few well-chosen indoor plants — can give your system a break.

Food plays a beautiful role here too. Lemons, cruciferous veggies, leafy greens, beetroot, apples, avocado, turmeric, green tea, blueberries, and prebiotic-rich veggies nourish the liver and support natural detox pathways. And sometimes, specific tools like chlorella help bind what your body is ready to let go of.

Your body is always working to protect you. When you reduce what overwhelms it and increase what nourishes it, balance starts returning in a way you can actually feel.

If you’d like support making these changes in a way that feels realistic and personal to your life, I’m here.

A Gentle Pause for the Holidays

The holidays often arrive with a mix of excitement and exhaustion. Full calendars, big meals, late nights, and very little space to truly slow down. In the middle of it all, it can be easy to forget that your body still needs rest, nourishment, and a moment to catch its breath.

This time of year doesn’t have to be about doing more. It can be about tuning in. Eating well most of the time, moving gently, getting outside, prioritising sleep where you can, and letting go of perfection. Small, kind choices add up, especially when routines feel different.

As the year wraps up, I hope you find moments of calm, connection, and care for yourself. And if supporting your health has been sitting quietly on your to-do list, the new year is a beautiful time to begin.

One of the reasons I love assisting women to balance their hormones, periods, reproductive function and fertility is because this area responds so well to natural support!

Naturopathy has a lot to offer in supporting women in all phases of their hormonal life stages. I see the most incredible transformations in so many of my clients seeking support in this area.

The endocrine system, which is our hormonal system, is so very delicate, intricate and dynamic. It is also very sensitive to disruption, so when we can isolate what is causing a problem and address it naturally, this can very quickly help reduce symptoms and in many cases, fully resolve an issue.

Hormonal imbalance is such a common issue, in women particularly, and can really affect quality of life both mentally and physically, but with the right natural interventions, we can get you to your health goals, together.

I’ve seen it over and over. When the gut is out of balance, everything feels a little harder. Energy dips, moods shift, skin flares, sleep gets patchy, and even simple meals can feel unpredictable. And it makes sense. The gut is home to trillions of microbes, most of our immune system, and a direct communication line to the brain. When that ecosystem becomes overwhelmed by stress, poor sleep, processed food, toxins, or antibiotics, the body starts sending signals: bloating, cravings, irritability, constipation, anxiety, or that constant “off” feeling you can’t quite explain.

The good news is the gut responds beautifully to small, steady changes. Nourishing it with whole foods, fibre, healthy fats, warm meals, movement, rest, and consistent routines can reset the microbiome in powerful ways. Fermented foods, probiotics and prebiotics build good bacteria; mindful eating calms digestion; and supporting the gut-brain connection can ease both tension and inflammation. Even simple choices like drinking enough water, reducing sugar, or stepping outside for a walk, can create noticeable improvements.

If your gut has been calling for help or you’re ready to rebuild your health from the inside out, I’m here to guide you with a plan that feels realistic, gentle, and sustainable.

Some days, being a parent feels like troubleshooting a dozen tiny mysteries. The fussy eating that suddenly appears out of nowhere, the tummy aches at bedtime, the colds that seem to make a comeback just when you hoped you were in the clear. And in between all of that, you’re doing your best to help your child grow into someone who feels calm, confident, and connected.

What I see again and again is that children thrive when their foundations are supported. Steady digestion, strong immunity, nourishing food, good sleep rhythms, and spaces where their emotions can land safely. Even small shifts, like getting them involved in making meals, protecting their rest, understanding their worries, or spending more time in nature, can help their bodies settle and their resilience grow. And when something doesn’t feel right... a lingering rash, tricky behaviour, constant tummy issues, or worries that seem bigger than usual, it’s completely okay to seek support.

If you’re looking for a clearer path for your child’s health, I’m here to help you make sense of their symptoms and build gentle, realistic steps forward for your family.

When it comes to women’s health, the vaginal microbiome often doesn’t get the attention it deserves. Yet, it quietly supports us every day. This delicate ecosystem, dominated by Lactobacillus, helps protect against infections and maintain balance. But it can be disrupted by so many factors: hormonal changes, diet, stress, contraceptives, partners and even daily care habits.

Gentle, consistent choices can make a world of difference. From breathable fabrics and mindful menstrual products, to nutrient-rich foods, stress support, probiotics and probiotic or lactic acid pessaries. These little acts of care build resilience over time. And just as important is knowing when to seek support if something doesn’t feel right.

Your vaginal health is part of your whole wellbeing. If you’ve been experiencing discomfort or just want to feel more confident in your down-there care, I’d love to help guide you. You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Feeling tired all the time isn’t always just a busy schedule, it can sometimes point to low iron. Without enough iron, your body can’t make the haemoglobin that carries oxygen, leaving you fatigued, pale, emotional and even breathless.

Iron levels can drop for many reasons. Heavy periods, pregnancy, gut health issues, or diet. Animal protein provides easily absorbed iron, while plant foods like greens, lentils, and seeds will help, especially with a boost of Vitamin C.

If you’ve been feeling constantly drained, it may be worth looking deeper and having your iron levels checked. With the right food and supplement support, energy and vitality can return. I’m here if you’d like guidance.

Resilience isn’t something we’re simply born with, it’s something we can strengthen, just like a muscle. The way we eat, rest, and care for ourselves shapes how we respond when life throws us challenges.

A nourishing, anti-inflammatory diet gives the brain and body what they need to recover and adapt. Looking after gut health with probiotic and prebiotic-rich foods supports mood and mental clarity. Quality sleep helps us process emotions and restore balance. And beyond the physical, taking time to check in with stress, practice mindfulness, making time for rest and joy and leaning on a strong support network makes all the difference.

Resilience also comes from being prepared. Whether that’s having a wellness toolkit, or putting strategies in place for emotional care. It’s about giving yourself the best chance to recover and move forward, no matter what comes your way.

If you’d like support in strengthening your resilience through nutrition and holistic care, I’d love to walk alongside you as you build it. ✨

So much of how we feel (from our digestion to our energy, even our mood) begins in the gut. One in five people experience digestive discomfort, and it’s often linked to an imbalance in the gut microbiota, the community of 'good' and 'bad' bacteria that affects everything from our immune system to mental health.

Processed foods, stress, poor sleep, inactivity, environmental toxins, medications and antibiotics can throw this balance off, leading to issues such as bloating, fatigue, skin breakouts, or irritable bowel symptoms. The good news is, small changes can make a real difference. Fresh, whole foods, fermented products, fibre, staying hydrated, moving your body, and managing stress all help restore balance.

If your gut has been sending you signals that something’s off, you don’t need to push through it alone. Reach out if you’d like support in understanding your symptoms and creating a plan that works for you. Your gut (and your whole body) will thank you. 💛

Your liver does so much for you. It quietly takes care of well over 400 jobs every single day, working tirelessly around the clock. Some examples are filtering your blood, sunthesising hormones and other important molecules, breaking down toxins, alcohol, and even stress hormones. But when it’s under pressure, you might feel it through fatigue, bloating, skin flare-ups, headaches, constipation or mood changes.

The kindest thing you can do is give it a little support: drink plenty of pure water, move your body, choose nourishing whole foods, and keep chemicals and alcohol to a minimum. You can even add in some liver supportive herbs and nutrients for an extra edge. Even small shifts can make a big difference in how you feel.

And if something doesn’t feel right, it’s always worth reaching out for support. Your liver will thank you for it. 💛

Have you ever noticed how your body naturally craves lighter, cooling foods in summer and heartier, warming meals in winter? That’s no coincidence. It’s your body’s way of aligning with nature’s cycles. Seasonal eating isn’t just about fresher and more flavourful produce, it’s also more nourishing, better for the environment, and supports our local farmers.

By tuning into what each season offers, you give your body what it truly needs. From hydrating watermelon and crisp salads in summer, to slow-cooked soups and spiced cacao in winter. Even traditional Ayurvedic wisdom encourages this way of eating, reminding us that balance comes from listening to both the body and the earth.

If you’ve been curious about how to reconnect with food in a way that feels more natural, I’d love to guide you. Reach out and let’s explore how seasonal eating can support your health and rhythm year-round. 🌸

Our gut is home to trillions of tiny helpers (microbes) working quietly to support our digestion, immunity, mood and so much more.

We can support our gut health with probiotics which are the “good” bacteria that can support balance, but the true superstars are prebiotics which are the fibres that feed and strengthen them. Together, they can create a thriving microbiome.

By just increasing fibre in your diet you can dramatically improve the health of your gastrointestinal system. Focus on diversity, different colours, different plant families. All plant foods have fibre - think vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, lentils, beans and wholegrain. Don’t forget spices and herbs too!

If you’ve been wondering how to better support your gut, start small: enjoy probiotic-rich foods like yoghurt or kombucha, and add prebiotic foods like garlic, onions, or oats. Little shifts can make a big difference in how you feel day to day.
