Classes are 60 min,
designed for all levels of yoga and flexibility. Gita style yoga is integrating classic hatha postures, breathing exercises, relaxation and meditation. It works on the brain and the body’s five major systems: the respiratory, the digestive, the central nervous system, the autonomic nervous system and the endocrine system. Gita style specifically focuses on the seven hormone- producing endocrine glands, which program the body and make us what we are. Bring only comfy clothes! No experience in yoga? That's ok, no need to be flexible to do yoga! Your teacher- Agnieszka, originally from Warsaw, Poland is a fully qualified Hatha yoga and meditation teacher. She’s studied at the International Gita School of Yoga- Melbourne’s oldest yoga school, established in the 50’s by Margrit Segesman. Agnieszka has completed the Diploma of Teaching Meditation and Gold Diploma of Teaching Hatha Yoga (over 900hrs training), as well as other short courses. She began her classes in her own home while she worked as an accountant in the city. From accounting to yoga and meditation! Agnieszka is passionate about health, well-being and healing; she feels like her personality serves her soul when she is teaching. She enjoys supporting students. Her motto is- do what feels right, listen to your body and stretch but never strain. Agnieszka believes yoga is everywhere and for everyone. She has been practicing yoga since 2009. Why the name Jantar? In Polish, Jantar means amber. Amber helps to balance the emotions, clear the mind and release negative energy. It eases stress, attracts good luck and helps develop patience and wisdom. Ancient Yogis believed it is a powerful healer and gives a sense of health and healing. The name also happens to have a very sentimental place in Agnieszka’s heart, as it is the name of the street where she grew up. At Jantar Yoga we believe in living a life full of joy, kindness, gratitude, love, and free of judgment. As the foundation of the practice combines the physical with an inner emotional and spiritual journey, Jantar Yoga offers a variety of services, classes, workshops, and more to help all clients achieve healthier bodies and minds.
