📣 Calling all under 25s: got something to say? Come and say it at our 2026 Youth Summit!
The Queensland Family and Child Commission’s third annual Youth Summit is taking place in Brisbane on Friday 10 April 2026, and they want to hear from you.
The Youth Summit is an opportunity for Queensland children and young people, aged 25 and under, to share their lived experiences and ideas for positive change directly to government and sector leaders to improve outcomes for Queensland children, young people and their families. Speakers from the last two Summits have created opportunities to advocate for system, policy and practice change across a range of sectors including health, education, disability, domestic and family violence, child protection, and more, following their Summit presentations. They’re continuing to have an impact and shape the way sector professionals think about the responding to the voices of young people, advocacy and accountability.
As Oli said about his involvement in this year’s Summit, “It was definitely a second chance for me in my life… if it can get my word out there, it can get anybody else’s word out there.”
Interested in being part of it, or know a young person who might be?
Apply now to be a speaker – all it takes is an idea and a short written or video application – be sure to explain why it’s so important. Applications are open now until 23 January 2026 so head to www.qfcc.qld.gov.au/youth/summit to find out more and to submit your application📣
