A warm November morning at the Hilltop Events Centre, Sundale Palmwoods and Sconetime was in full swing!

We partnered with Sunshine Coast Foodie Martin Duncan for our first Sconetime at Sundale, bringing residents, volunteers, staff and management together (even the Gardens & Grounds team enjoyed a well-earned break). Martin, a former chef and restaurateur whose Facebook moment sparked Sconetime’s beginnings reminded us why this event exists: to connect seniors with younger generations over fresh, hot scones and conversation.

Sundale CEO Cameron Taylor put it perfectly: “For everyone who’s getting to know me, you know that I’m quite partial to a scone at 10am! Coming together today is just fantastic. There’s nothing better. And the fact that we can use Hilltop Events Centre to do it as well is just amazing.”

Huge thanks to Simplee Sweet Buderim (Sally & Bec), Brigitte O’Brien, Tanya & Cameron Outridge from Sunshine Valley Gazette 🗞️ , team Sundale, Montville Coffee, and Cedar Creek Farm Bushfoods for the strawberry jam and lashings of whipped cream. 🎉 Congratulations to our 3 Sundale Ltd Values Campaign Winners: Milly, Rajveer, and Ann, all dedicated Carers in our Care Centres! 🌟

What an incredible conclusion to our 3-week Sundale Values Campaign, with a whopping 705 responses!

During this campaign, team Sundale explored how we embody our core values of Care, Connection, and Creativity to uphold our brand promise: feel at home. People are at the heart of everything we do, and these values guide us in supporting our customers, residents, families, and each other each day.

To make this campaign even more engaging, we introduced a fun, gamified twist where participants could complete weekly quizzes related to our organisation’s personas. Each correct answer earned an entry into a prize draw for our new Sundale brand merchandise. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn, reflect, and celebrate the behaviours that make Sundale feel like home.

Yesterday Sundale’s James Grimes and Bowder Care Centre residents went out for a fishing trip. No fish caught, but plenty of laughter, stories and new friendships. Moments like these remind us that connection and joy matter just as much as the catch. This outing exemplifies how we support people moving into Care Centres. We recognise it may not be the home they left, but Sundale is committed to helping them feel at home by providing freedom, choice and meaningful opportunities to live life their way. The team is already planning the next trip! 😊 🎣

Sundale is proud to have sponsored last Thursday’s Nambour Chamber of Commerce Coffee Catch Up, a morning full of community connection and great news.

We had a surprise visit from Qld Premier David Crisafulli MP, who met with Mark Bray and Brian Bugenhagen (Nambour Chamber) and early attendees at Small Change Espresso before, alongside Marty Hunt MP, announcing the location of the new Nambour police beat.

Kairos Community College Nambour confirmed its secondary school will open in the old ANZ building for the 2026 school year while their permanent campus is built.

We announced we’re expecting 3,000–5,000 people at our Community Christmas Carols on 5 December and are looking forward to seeing the community come together.

The Shack Nambour launched their Trees of Hope appeal today.

Local charity GPAI is already breaking records and barriers as they gear up for their inaugural Pro-Am golf tournament.

Sundale Ltd Community Christmas Carols to bring family fun and festivities to Nambour this December

Sundale’s much loved Community Christmas Carols will be returning again this year on Friday December 5, at 35 Doolan Street Nambour.

Last year’s event saw a huge crowd of local families gather together to enjoy the free activities and festivities.

“It was the perfect way to kick off the holiday season right in our own backyard, surrounded by our wonderful community,” said Sundale CEO, Cameron Taylor.

“This year our guests can expect lots of free rides including The Sizzler and Trackless Train, which are new additions, plus the crowd favourites from last year.

“There will be Christmas Carnival Games run by Sundale staff, with lots of Christmas prizes to be won,” he said.

“And there will be plenty of live music again this year to get toes tapping.

“Our headlining entertainment is The Idol Family, who appeared on Australian Idol this year, JaZZella Music, and Chris Ah Gee and Jinja Blue will be performing their Christmas Spectacular, as well as lots of other fantastic entertainers.”

Guests at the event will be able to get ahead with their Christmas gift shopping thanks to the Christmas Markets which will feature some unique and beautiful local handmade products,” Mr Taylor said.

The moment all the little ones look forward to is the Santa visit, which will take place at 5.30pm.

To wrap up a huge afternoon of fun and celebration, there will be a fireworks and laser show at 8pm.

🎠💐👒 Fashions, fun, and plenty of colour filled Aloaka as residents came together to celebrate the race that stops the nation. 🏇💃 The event was enjoyed by all, with laughter and excitement flowing throughout the day. From elegant race-day attire to light-hearted competitions, the celebrations brought a wonderful sense of community and cheer. Our dedicated staff also joined in the festivities, proudly representing every department and adding to the vibrant atmosphere. 👒👏
