A big thankyou to Matt Sheard from Mategra Developments for trusting us to return the Palmwoods Buderim locomotive built around 1914 back to Buderim after it was refurbished at Wises Farm . After meticulous planning we executed the loading, transportation and finally lifting and placing the Locomotive to its final display position in the heart of Buderim so all can view this century old train brought back to its original condition. A fantastic effort by all involved and the volunteers. The crowd of interested onlookers and media all with cameras in hand gave us a round of applause when when it was placed onto the display tracks. Thankyou to all the Origin Cranes team involved in planning and executing this project. We all loved being part of this historic day for Buderim.

For Managing Director Craig Membrey, the crane carries a deeply personal legacy: the memory of his son, Rowan, and a reminder that talking about mental health can save lives.

Working closely with Franna’s General Manager Danny Black and with the support of Beyond Blue, Craig saw his vision realised as the milestone crane was finished in Beyond Blue livery. The full story of this moving collaboration is featured in this issue.

We also look at the National Conference and Exhibition hosted by the Crane Industry Council of Australia (CICA). With record attendance and a strong field of entries for the Lift of the Year awards, this year’s event builds on the strength, innovation, and camaraderie within the lifting community.

Rounding out this edition, we present our first in-depth feature on Queensland’s crane sector, highlighting the businesses driving growth across the state and showcasing their latest fleet additions.

Atrocious to think our country allows people to desecrate our History and heritage by burning our Nation's flag with no consequences. Our Anzacs died under this flag. Everyone should sign this.

Over 14,000 Aussies have had enough. Have you?

Our flag stands for who we are, our history, our values, and the sacrifices of those who built and defended this great country.

Burning it is a symbolic threat of violence against our people. It’s an act of aggression and a disgraceful attack on everything good and decent Australia stands for.

Australians are sick of it. They’ve had enough of the disrespect and the threats. That’s why I’m calling on Parliament to make it an offence to burn or desecrate the Australian flag.

Hopefully the Sunny Coast doesn't cop the full power of Alfred.
