Retanne O'Leary, Psychologist

I am a trauma informed psychologist, who has extensive experience providing therapeutic intervention for mood, anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties, parenting support, and interpersonal relationship difficulties. In my clinical work, I help clients deepen their understanding and awareness of their cognitive thought patterns and emotional responses, and explore the connections with past experiences, facilitating internal change and transformation. I strongly believe that therapeutic work originates from the self and then positively impacts all other areas of one’s life. I have a particular interest in autism, where interventions focuses upon helping families, to manage behaviours of concern, and helping individuals to develop skills to improve social interactions and to regulate emotions. I am dedicated to assisting families to gain a greater understanding of the individual’s autism and the impact this may have upon their learning, development and behaviour. I am now practicing at Highfield Park Medical Centre, 872 Riversdale Road, Camberwell, Victoria 3124, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and being new to this location I have capacity to take on more clients. Medicare rebates apply for part of the session cost for eligible clients.
