Unlock your lower leg power! 🦵🏃‍♂️🚀

Your calves do more than just look good in shorts - they’re performance powerhouses. Meet the gastrocnemius (top left), the MVP muscle for runners and athletes 👊💥

Jump higher 🔥 Run faster 🔥 Stay balanced on any terrain 🔥

One move to rule them all? CALF RAISES!
Straight legs = maximum gastrocnemius activation,
Bend them and shift the focus to your soleus (bottom right)!

Fast-twitch fibers love explosive and heavy training 💪 Train often, go full range, slow the drop, and pause at the top.

Age-based challenge: can you match the average number of reps for your age?
30-year-old men: 33 reps, 30-year-old women: 27–28 reps (Thanks, Hébert-Losier et al., 2017) 📊

Final thought: don't skip calf day. Your gastrocnemius is calling - answer with standing calf raises (example in top right)!

So long, but not goodbye 💛

Today we say “see you soon” to our amazing physiotherapist, Paulina, as she heads off on maternity leave! 👶✨

Paulina has been such a huge part of our team — bringing warmth, laughter, and incredible care to everyone who walks through our doors. Her patients adore her, and honestly, so do we.

We’re so excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to meet the newest little member of the SPP family soon! 💕

Thank you, Paulina, for all your hard work, dedication, and heart. You’ve made such a difference to our clients and our team, and we’ll be cheering you on (and counting down the days till you’re back!).

Not goodbye… just see you later 💫
