What a day at Fair Day! 🌈​

It may have been hot, cold and rainy all at once - but the energy from our community? Nothing short of amazing. 💚

Coming together with LGBTQIA+ members of the education community is always a joy and this year was no exception. From heartfelt chats at our stall to messages of love and gratitude on our wall, the day was buzzing with connection and a real sense of community. (And of course, the rainbow sunnies brought extra smiles. 😎)

On World Teachers’ Day, we invited our community to nominate teachers who go above and beyond for their students, colleagues and school communities. From more than 700 heartfelt nominations, we’re proud to celebrate one educator whose impact truly stood out.

🎉 Congratulations to Sally (NSW), our World Teachers’ Day Competition Grand Prize winner! Recognised for the transformative difference she makes to students facing significant challenges, Sally has been honoured for her exceptional leadership, mentorship and care. This World Teachers’ Day, we asked the community to nominate the teachers who truly transform classrooms, inspire students, and support families and colleagues alike. Over 700 nominations were received in our World Teachers’ Day Competition, recognising the exceptional dedication of educators. One Grand Prize Winner and four daily winners were selected for their extraordinary impact.

🥳 Cheering for Kyra (NSW), one of four daily winners! Kyra was honoured for her incredible ability to meet each child where they are, understanding their needs, strengths and challenges. As part of this recognition, she will receive a $250 eGift Card. 💚

In her classroom, students with autism feel seen, valued and celebrated, gaining the confidence to communicate, explore and thrive. Her patience, compassion and personalised support transform learning into a place of possibility.

Sharon is known for creating a classroom where every child feels safe, supported and celebrated. Families often share how she instinctively recognises children’s strengths and guides them through big moments with genuine care.
