Hi, I’m Layla, the founder and CCO (Chief Care Officer) for Bags of Care. It started back in 2010…when working as a concierge for platinum credit cardholders, I discovered my natural talent in helping organise other people’s personal lives and started Sydney Concierge. After taking time out when my son was born in 2018, I resumed Sydney Concierge in September 2020. My first sale after the relaunch was from a lady in hotel quarantine. She saw that I offered a personal shopping service and wondered if I could deliver to her in hotel quarantine. I replied “of course” not knowing what was to come! After a busy few months, I realised hotel quarantine wasn’t going away anytime soon and launched a dedicated care package company for those in hotel quarantine, Quarantine Care was launched in early 2021. Then lockdown hit, and orders soared. The worst lockdown got, the busier Quarantine Care got. It was a double-edged sword, but I loved being able to help brighten people’s lives (especially when they were down), make them smile and send rays of sunshine. And the kind words we received made my heart sing. Having said that, nobody was happier than I when Sydney’s lockdown ended in October 2021 and our sales slowed….until Omnicron hit a few months later. Covid-19 is clearly not going away, but now we are learning to live with the virus and quarantine is almost obsolete. Having discovered my passion for curating the perfect gift, I have relaunched Quarantine Care as Bags of Care, where you will discover the same great service. I still spend hours trawling the internet for the best products and ensuring our care bags spark joy! I’m from the UK and most of my family still live there, so I understand how it feels to be so far away from loved ones and feel so helpless when they need help or cheering up. As well as how frustrating it feels when you miss their celebrations. Our memorable care bags will help you continue to stay connected with those who matter the most. My main mission is to inject joy and love into as many people’s lives as possible with memorable gifts, especially if you/they are going through a tough time. And at an affordable price.
