It’s easy to compare your health to others, but everyone’s body is different.

What feels “normal” for someone else may not be the same for you.

Small changes in how you feel, your energy levels, or your general wellbeing can sometimes be worth paying attention to.

Early conversations with your GP can help you better understand what’s happening and whether anything needs to be checked.

If something doesn’t feel quite right, it’s always okay to ask questions and get reassurance.

Your GP is there to support your health at every stage. 🩺

Women’s health can look different at different stages of life 🌿

In your 20s and 30s, this may include general check-ups, cervical screening, contraception discussions, and mental wellbeing support.

In your 30s and 40s, some women may also begin noticing hormonal or cycle changes.

Later on, conversations may include perimenopause, menopause, and broader preventative health planning.

Health checks are not only for when something feels wrong.
They can also help you stay informed about your health over time 🩺

Your GP can review your individual health history, talk through any changes, and guide what checks may be appropriate for you.

Preventative health starts with a conversation 💬✨

The mental load is not always visible.

Many women balance work, home responsibilities, and caring for others. Over time, this can feel overwhelming and mentally exhausting. 💭

You might notice you are always thinking ahead, planning, or struggling to switch off even after the workday ends.

It is important to recognise these signs and take them seriously. Small steps like setting boundaries and making time to rest can help.

If it continues to feel like too much, speaking with a GP can provide support and guidance. 💚👩‍⚕️

Everyone has a “normal” when it comes to their health.

Understanding what’s usual for you can make it easier to recognise when something changes, even if those changes are subtle or develop gradually over time.

A GP can help review your health in context and guide you if anything needs further attention. 🩺

🩺 Not all medical tests are used in the same way.

Some tests are part of routine screening, even when you feel well. These tests help look for early signs of certain health issues before symptoms appear.

Other tests are diagnostic tests. These are used when you have symptoms, or when your GP needs to investigate a specific concern more closely.

Understanding the difference can make it easier to know why a test has been recommended and what it is intended to assess.

Your GP considers your symptoms, medical history, and individual risk factors when deciding which type of test may be appropriate.

If you’ve ever felt unsure about a test or your results, it’s always okay to ask questions during your appointment.

🌿 Sometimes a symptom does not need to feel severe to matter.

Health changes can be easy to dismiss at first, especially when life is busy. But if something keeps returning, lasts longer than expected, or begins affecting your sleep, energy, comfort, mood, focus, or ability to get through the day, it may be worth discussing with your GP.

Many women put their own health last while managing work, family, and other responsibilities. Even small changes can still be important when they start affecting daily life.

🩺 Our doctors offer care that looks at the full picture, including your symptoms, health history, and overall wellbeing.
