🥩 Reverse-Seared T-Bone Steak 🔥
For that juicy, tender centre with a perfect golden crust, the reverse sear is your secret weapon.👌
👨🍳 What You’ll Need:
* 2 large T-bone steaks
* Salt
* 1 tbsp olive oil
* 6 tbsp butter
* 4 cloves garlic
* 2 sprigs rosemary
🔥 Step-by-Step:
1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C).
2️⃣ Season your steaks with salt.
3️⃣ Place the steaks on a wire rack over a baking tray and cook until the internal temperature is about 8–10°C below your goal (for medium-rare, remove at 120°F / 49°C). This usually takes 40–60 minutes depending on thickness.
4️⃣ While the steaks are finishing in the oven, preheat a pan on low heat.
5️⃣ Add a little oil, then turn the heat to high. When it’s just starting to smoke, add your steaks.
6️⃣ Sear both sides for about 2 minutes total, flipping every 30 seconds. Sear the edges too for that full crust.
7️⃣ Add butter, garlic & rosemary to the pan. Tilt the pan slightly and start basting, spoon that melted, fragrant butter over the steak until it glistens. 🌿
8️⃣ Let the steaks rest 5–10 minutes before cutting.
9️⃣ Serve with your favourite sides and enjoy 👌🏽
