These hands did more than guide a coffin… they carried a lifetime of moments, stories, and a woman who was deeply loved.
To be chosen as a pall bearer is to be trusted with one final act of care — it says that you mattered, you were loved, and you will never be forgotten. 💜

A beautiful farewell, exactly as he wished 🤍
At St Jerome Catholic Church, his coffin was covered with stunning irises and the church was filled with the beautiful voices of the cantor and organist.
Afterwards, we followed together to his place of rest. Beneath clear blue skies, the priest blessed his final chapter, peacefully surrounded by those who loved him.

I saw a quote that said,

‘Grief isn’t just pain. It’s proof. It’s proof that something beautiful existed. That you were given something worth missing. So on the hard days you must remind yourself:

You wouldn’t trade the love to escape the grief, you wouldn’t erase the happiness to avoid the pain, and you will endure a lifetime of missing them, for the privilege of having loved”

As I lay here awake, while everyone's asleep, I look at our beautiful new logo which takes me back to where we started. On Dandelion Day, 5th April 2023.

Nicque came over to my place and she pulled out a flip chart (seriously old school but effective 😂)

We began planning on how to make things easier for our grieving families. How to make farewells more authentic. How to ignore what other funeral companies were doing, but rather stick to what we believed in. We were determined to not make money our motivation and to let our hearts lead us.

Some days were hard. Other days were harder. We'd find ourselves sobbing in our cars. Some days we'd laugh along with guests at the funny anecdotes shared by friends and families.

Yet always, always...we felt deeply connected to the deceased and upheld their dignity, with our care behind the scenes, because that was, and will continue to be, our promise to the people who loved them, the people who trust us to care for them 🙏🏾 This is an honour we'll never take for granted.

Together with our devoted team at The Last Time Funerals, we know that in 3 years and hundreds of funerals later, we've made a difference to so many lives.

Our work truly matters as we continue to carry families through the most difficult times, 'their' Last Times. And with every goodbye, we believe there is hope.

Not all goodbyes are endings.
Like a dandelion seed
carried by the breeze,
it doesn't simply end...it moves.
It travels.
It settles.

And somewhere,
in ways we may not see,
it grows again ♡
I'm drifting off now, goodnight.

What a grand 96 years — a life truly lived to its fullest.
Today we farewelled an incredible woman — competitive in her sports, and talented with a paintbrush. A proud golf club member, it felt only right to gather in a place she loved, surrounded by the grounds that were her happy place.
In one of the most beautiful gestures, her family invited each guest to take home one of her original watercolours — a lasting piece of her, shared among the many lives she touched. 💛

Who said we couldn’t put a coffin on the back of a prime mover?
Hundreds came to say farewell to Emo — a man deeply loved far and wide.

With The Last Time Funerals, his funeral was exactly as it should be and true to who he was.

And instead of a minute’s silence… we had a moment of noise. Think right off the Richter scale !!
Hands clapping, voices calling out Emo’s name, and that truck horn blasting loud and proud.
It was a powerful expression of love, loyalty, and true mateship 🩵

Today we farewelled John on The Kingsway Playing Fields he was intrinsically involved in over years of his life.

Tributes have been pouring in across social media platforms and local newspapers, with hundreds gathering today, filling the space with stories, laughter, and tears — a true reflection of a life that reached far beyond what words can capture.

His family shared heartfelt tributes of a man who was steady, generous, giving, loving and deeply loved.

The sporting community of NSW Touch Football and Penrith Oztag spoke of his passion, his commitment, and his service - the way he showed up — not just for the game, but for the people in it. This past weekend, teams at the State Cup wore black armbands in his honour — a simple but powerful tribute to someone who gave so much to the sport and its community.

John was the kind of person whose impact can’t be measured in years alone. His ripple effect runs through decades and across generations — in teammates, in friends, in family, and in all those who were lucky enough to know him.

An incredible example of a human being.

And today made one thing very clear — his legacy will continue, every time a story is told, a lesson is passed on, or someone shows up for others the way he always did - on and off the field.

Rest easy, John 🤍

A gentle farewell today at Rookwood, honouring a deeply loved Grandma who gave everything to her family.

Across every tribute, one message shone through:

“You will always be remembered as our hero, our inspiration, and the heart of our family.”

A graceful, resilient, and selfless matriarch - forever loved, always remembered 🤍

Hundreds gathered yesterday for a woman so deeply loved… each person arriving with a single flower in shades of red and pink 🌸🌷
Our Last Time team dressed in her favourite colours too — it was our way of honouring her in every detail.
As Hold My Hand by Lady Gaga played, one by one, people came forward to place their flowers together… a collective expression of love from the many lives she touched, and the love she leaves behind.
Her presence was felt just as deeply at the memorial table — beautifully handcrafted quilts, hand-sewn teddy bears, and treasured family photos.
A powerful, moving farewell for a beautiful woman…
whose life was truly stitched together with love ❤️🩷💕
