5 ways to support your mental health WITHOUT meditating.

These are ways you can SLOW DOWN which in turn will help to CALM your nervous system 🤍

You don’t need to spend too long on these tasks, but try at least 20 minutes 🥰

⭐️ Read a book
⭐️ Relax listening to calming music
⭐️ Have a bath
⭐️ Sit by your window, on your balcony or in your backyard with your favourite herbal tea, listening to the world around you
⭐️ Spend time in nature, go for a walk or sit outside

Practicing mindfulness doesn’t mean you have to practice meditation.

Mindfulness is the skill of being present within yourself. To go inward and to observe your own thoughts, feelings and experiences. To unpack what is there without judging. So often we have so many plans, lists and worries racing through our minds. It’s easy to get caught up in it all.

We have mentioned journaling before. This is another way to practice mindfulness without having to meditate. This technique allows you to express in the form of writing instead. To spill your mind out onto paper so to speak.

Another way to practice could be to go for a walk without technology. On this walk try to focus on how your body feels, how the air feels around you. Try to become aware of your thoughts and experiences while you walk. The idea of this walk is that you are present, you aren’t racing from A to B. You aren’t trying to build up for a sweat. You’re taking yourself for a walk to be with YOU.

In our busy lives, taking time to tune into ourselves is so important. 🤍

SELF LOVE ❤️ ⁣

Did you know that there is evidence proving connected was with one’s self (self love) increases your wellbeing? ⁣
⁣
How often do you put yourself last or feel negative toward yourself? Maybe to say ‘I love you’ to yourself is hard. What if you rephrased and said ‘I love you for giving me my beautiful child’ or ‘I love you for your strength’ or ‘I love you for getting me through each day’?

Maybe practicing self love and it’s importance seems like common sense? But how often do you do it?

Let this serve as a little reminder that one of your most important relationships is the one you have with yourself! ⁣like any relationship, it NEEDS and DESERVES to be acknowledged
