✨ Why midwives and obstetricians trust us — and why 16 couples have already booked for December! ✨

When health-care providers consistently refer families to us, it means something. Our classes are trusted because they’re professional, balanced, evidence-based and genuinely supportive — the perfect blend of hospital knowledge and calm, practical birth preparation.

One of our mums shared this today:
“So I went to see Marissa today and she said ‘soooo are you planning on doing antenatal classes or calm birth or Kaia Birth’. And I was like yesssss Kaia Birth.”

This is exactly why we do what we do — supportive care that leads families straight to us.

And with 16 couples already booked for December, you don’t have to take our word for it…
✨ Come find out for yourself why we’re the trusted and referred birth class.

Bookings now open — we’d love to support your journey 🤎

🌙 Let’s talk about safe co-sleeping 🌙

Co-sleeping (or bedsharing) is our natural and instinctive response to a calm and connected sleep. It can be very beneficial for mum and baby — when done safely. Research shows that when parents follow safe sleep practices, co-sleeping can:

✨ Support breastfeeding and bonding
✨ Help regulate baby’s temperature, breathing, and heart rate
✨ Improve maternal sleep quality and reduce nighttime stress/anxiety

If you choose to co-sleep, here are key safety guidelines to follow (based on Red Nose and UNICEF recommendations):

🤍 Baby sleeps on their back, on a firm, flat surface
🤍 Keep pillows, blankets, and soft bedding away from baby’s face
🤍 No smoking, alcohol, or medications that cause drowsiness
🤍 Dress baby lightly — adult bedding can make them too warm

It’s about creating a safe sleep environment — not perfection. Trust your instincts, follow safe sleep guidelines, and do what helps your family rest and connect best.

You deserve peaceful nights and sleepy snuggles. 🌙💛

✨Did you know your placenta has options after birth?✨

In Day 2 of our Kaia Birth Program, you’ll also learn how to birth your placenta — what to expect in this stage, how your body supports it naturally, and the different choices you have for your placenta’s care after birth.

Some families choose to bury their placenta.
My sister, who birthed the three placentas you see here, chose to do so knowing how significant the placenta is.

🤎Her thoughts on burying the placentas:

“The placenta is an organ which only develops during pregnancy. It plays a vital role in growing our babies. It’s a wonderful, intelligent design created for one very important purpose, that being to sustain and keep our babies alive whilst in the womb. When considering this and the fact that it was once quite literally a part of my body, it seems so appropriate to bury the placenta.

We chose to plant them with an olive tree, which is significant to our family making it extra special and meaningful to us. And in February we will be adding another one to this pot too!

Whether you chose to plant beneath a tree, in a pot, return to the earth, or celebrate in another meaningful way, it’s lovely to mark your birth journey & to honour something special that was created specifically for you and your babe.”

It’s all about understanding, honouring, and feeling empowered through every part of your birth journey 💫

Where is your placenta going?

Ever heard of a SPRAINED VA**NA?! Ya girl has it 😂

We posted a poll on our stories about my visit to and lots of you wanted to know what happened! So here’s a story time 🤰🏽

SPD - Symphis P***s Dysfunction
Post birth - Stage 2 P***c Sprain (1cm was the drop in the right side!)

The moral of this story is to raise awareness that pregnancy is not linear. There is a village out there to support every need, I’m thankful to have found Dr Bec and be treated (saved) by her in the moments leading into my labour.

Also a shoutout to angel midwife for her call to me Sunday afternoon with reassurance labour would be okay with this pain, and refuel that confidence to let go and trust. 🫶🏽
