Recently, we said goodbye to our much-loved receptionist Arwen. The friendly smile at front desk and caring voice on our phones, Arwen will be missed by our patients and team alike.

Augusts are always so full of mixed emotions!

This week we said goodbye to our beloved registrars Dr Tim Lavery, Dr Joshua Mortimer and Dr Celine Farkash and wished them the best of luck as they spread their wings.

We know they will be missed by patients and staff alike, but are sure they will go on to do amazing things as they settle down into their new practices.

Over the past year they have cared for our patients, grown as doctors, and each attained Fellowship as specialist GPs - we couldn't be prouder or more grateful to have been part of that journey!

We're also looking forward to welcome our new registrars, starting next week - whom we can't wait to introduce - we just know you're going to love them as much as we do 💙

At Bethany Medical Centre, our commitment to caring for others goes well beyond Engadine and the Shire. Last month, we were proud to support Dr Soliman on his second medical outreach trip to Cambodia.

Partnering with Light For All Cambodia and Thanksgiving Australia, Dr Soliman provided care in four rural villages and two prison clinics - bringing a little bit of Bethany to some of the most under-resourced communities in the world. All patients were seen and treated free of charge, with medications also provided at no cost.

It may seem like a small gesture, but we believe that if everyone contributes what they can, the world becomes a better place.

This initiative is part of our broader commitment to giving back, and we’re pleased to share that plans are already underway for Dr Soliman’s next visit in October 2025.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible practice team, whose dedication and support make this vital work possible.

Today, we say goodbye to a much loved member of our team.

The entire team at Bethany Medical Centre would like to extend their warmest congratulations to Dr Vincent Lam on obtaining his RACGP Fellowship.

It has been a pleasure to have him as part of our team since he joined us in February 2024 as a GP Registrar. His dedication, hard work, and commitment to patient care have been exemplary.

We are incredibly proud of his achievements and the growth he has demonstrated during his time with us.

While we are sad to see him leave, we are excited for the opportunities that await him as a Specialist General Practitioner in Melbourne.

He will be greatly missed by all of his colleagues and patients here at Bethany Medical Centre 💙

1 lockdown, 2 homes and 14,300 patients later, we are so lucky to be able to do what we do each and every day.

We started out as a small, family owned solo practice and today - we're still family owned - but we've grown into a multidisciplinary teaching practice.

In 4 years Bethany has been through a lot, and we are blessed to have wonderful staff and beautiful patients who have stuck with us.
