World Cerebral Palsy Day.

Join the movement to help create awareness and inspire action around cerebral palsy, celebrate diverse ability and make the world a more accessible.

Sharing the story of Cerebral Palsy Superstar: Cyrus Dahl, who wanted an accessible swing in his local playground so that kids like him could play on. When Council could not provide one due to lack of funds, it did not deter Cyrus from pursuing what he wanted. While his cerebral palsy means he requires a lot of help in his everyday life, this whiz kid used videos, internet, emails to draw media attention towards his fundraiser. When TVNZ Breakfast invited him to the show to share what he was doing, his fundraiser exceeded the target that finally led not only to installation of swings but also won him Welly Award for philanthropy.
