👋🏼 Hi everyone! It’s been a while… and by a while, I mean 1 year, 8 months and 14 days. I don’t even know where to begin 😂
📚 The end of 2021 being a busy blur of adapting to life post-lockdown is my only excuse for not posting 😬 I then went back to uni part-time from early 2022, and it’s been a hectic balancing act between study, private practice, and general life. But very excited that uni will be done and dusted by the end of the year - and there’s no way I’ll ever be going back again! I’ve said this before, but this time I mean it. Posting it here to hold myself accountable 🤭
✏️ So instead of working on the literature review of my thesis which is due this coming Friday, I’ve decided to resurface on here ✌🏼
🥄 Pictured are some of my favourite Spoon Theory resources - I’ve tagged where you can access them, with the exception of the tracker which I found on a while back. If you know the original source, please let me know! The .packaging spoons are for kids to decorate as a concrete reminder of what we’ve covered in session 🎨
🪫 I love using the language of spoons with the families I work with, especially with my neurodivergent kiddos. It’s been so well-received and families have reported success in using this language to talk about the fluctuation of energy (i.e. spoons) throughout each day. I’d explain more, but I should probably save my spoons for this barely-started lit review! 🥲
