✨ YES. Most of them more than adults. Why? Because not only do active kids work harder than most adults and most of the kids I know train most days and then play and recess and lunch and none of them stretch….

✨ However the biggest reason is that they are on top of all this growing. So their bodies are under much more strain than adults as they are growing on top of all this training.

✨ Where is it and what does it do??

✨ It is a thick band of connective tissue that runs along the outside of the thigh. The top connects to the Iliac Crest and bottom to the Tibial Bone.

✨ It works with muscles like the gluteus maximus and tensor fascia latae to provide stability to the hip and knee during activities like walking and running.

✨ Massaging the ITB can provide immense relief to knees, lower back, glutes and hamstrings mainly.

✨ The hip flexors are a group of muscles toward the front of the hip. They help you move or flex your leg and knee up toward your body.

✨ Hip Flexor pain can be felt by a pulling in the front of the hip. Cramping and sharp pain. It may be hard to walk without limping. Difficulty getting out of a chair or coming up from a squat.

✨ For many people, the cause of your hip tightness is simply sitting too long. If you work at a desk, your hips spend more time in flexion, with your knees closer to your chest. Your hip flexor muscles have to work to maintain this position, causing issues over time.

✨ The best part, massage can also help to release this pain also!
