It’s not just about the movement, it’s how we support it.

In our Reformer classes, we use props with purpose - and the b***y band is one of our favourites 🍑🔥

🌶️Adds resistance (yes, your glutes will feel it)
🌶️Provides external feedback for better body awareness
🌶️Supports alignment + more efficient muscle activation

That added tension gives your body something to respond to - helping you recruit the right muscles, not just the strongest ones. Because good movement isn’t just about effort, it’s about coordination, control, and connection.

Pilates or strength?
Nope.

Pilates AND strength.

Because building a strong, mobile, resilient body isn’t about choosing one method… it’s about training your body in different and complementary ways.

💛 Strength = muscle + bone
💛 Pilates = control + stability

Together = longevity.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re “doing all the workouts” but not seeing change… this is why 👇

Your body is smart, it adapts quickly.

So if your workouts stay the same… your results will too.

That’s where progressive overload comes in.

It’s not about going harder every session, it’s about getting slightly better over time.

→ Adding more weight, reps, slowing the tempo...

This is how strength is built and you begin to see changes in your body.

And the best part? You don’t need to feel wrecked to be progressing. You just need the right stimulus.

Inside our classes, everything is designed with this in mind - so you’re not guessing, you’re progressing 💪🏽⚡️

A breath. A pause. A chance to arrive.

Before movement begins, we take time to centre - tuning into the body, noticing how it feels, and building that mind–body connection everything else layers on top of.

These first moments aren’t passive - they organise the body, refine alignment, and prime the neuromuscular system so everything that follows is more efficient, controlled, and intentional.

We hope you’ve taken a moment to pause this weekend… and are ready for a strong, feel-good week of movement leading into Easter. 💛

Not all deadlifts train your body in the same way...

The Romanian Deadlift and Straight-Leg Deadlift both target the posterior chain, but they create different mechanical demands.

Straight-Leg Deadlift
– Minimal knee bend
– Increased hamstring length under load
→ Greater stretch-mediated tension through the hamstrings

Romanian Deadlift (RDL)
– Soft knee bend, fixed throughout
– Controlled hip hinge
→ More stable position for loading
→ Greater contribution from the glutes

This is where training becomes more than just “doing the exercise”… it becomes intentional. 🍑🔥
