💙🐴 Residents in RFBI Tamworth Masonic Village had a wonderful time welcoming Calm Your Farm last month - especially Sox the Shetland pony and her very festive handler! From pats and photos to sharing stories of farm life and childhood memories, the visit sparked so much joy and conversation.

A beautiful day of reminiscing, connection and smiles all round. 🥰

As we move into a new year, we’re looking forward to the many exciting opportunities ahead of us for residents and staff across our villages. One of our highlights each year is the visits we enjoy from local schools, preschools and daycares - a chance for intergenerational sharing, learning and growth.

Just before Christmas residents in RFBI Benhome Masonic Village were thrilled to have welcomed students from All Saints College in Maitland to the village. These thoughtful young people arrived bearing gifts - beautiful Christmas wreaths that they had made by hand especially for the residents. 🎁🌿

While the wreaths are stunning, the best gift of all was the time the students spent chatting with residents as they made their deliveries. The happiness and joy they brought into the village were truly special.

Thank you, All Saints' College, Maitland, for your kindness and for bringing such wonderful festive cheer to our home. We look forward to more partnerships like these which reflect a community coming together to support and respect our older generations.

We’re a few days out from Christmas and still smiling!🌟✨

We had an incredible time celebrating Christmas day with residents, their families, guests and colleagues.

Who could forget the dance floor at our Hawkins Seniors Living Christmas party, where Sweet Caroline and The Twist were the hits of the day? Or the record-breaking lunch at RFBI Goulburn Masonic Retirement Village, where our retirement living community came together for their biggest function yet?

Family reunions, festive moments and plenty of cheer, this festive season was one for the books. One resident even told us it was the best party she’d seen in 18 years!

Thank you to everyone who shared their Christmas with us. Here’s to making many more memories in 2026! 🥂

As we turn the page on another year, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who makes our villages so special.

To our wonderful residents and their families - thank you for filling our homes with life, laughter and cherished memories. To our incredible staff and volunteers - your dedication, compassion and hard work every single day are the heart and soul of RFBI. ❤️

We are looking forward to a bright 2026 filled with new activities, continued connections and the very best care for our community.

Over the past few weeks, the RFBI team has been traveling across our regions to visit the 35 participating schools and present our talented Christmas Card Competition winners with their well-deserved prizes! 🏆

It has been such a heartwarming experience to meet the creative minds behind this year’s “Christmas Candy Land” designs.

We also loved being able to present the winning schools with their $50 gift cards to support their future art programs.

A huge thank you to the teachers students, and families who welcomed us so warmly. Seeing the pride on the students' faces (and our residents' faces when they saw the finished cards!) is what makes this competition so special every year.

The stars were out at RFBI Benhome Masonic Village for our annual Christmas play! It was a full house as our talented residents and staff took to the stage to deliver a performance filled with laughter, songs and plenty of holiday spirit.

From the amazing costumes to the hilarious "ad-libs", it was clear that we have some serious acting talent in the village. The best part? Seeing the smiles on the faces of our cast as they took their final bows to a standing ovation! 👏✨

A huge shout-out to our Leisure & Lifestyle team for their hard work on the script and sets, and of course, to our resident superstars who made the show a roaring success.

We capped off the play with a festive lunch which was a chance to discuss the stars of the day!

Who needs a sleigh when you have a fire truck?! 🚒🎅

RFBI Basin View Masonic Village had some very special visitors for Christmas this year. At 2:00 PM one afternoon the sirens signaled a festive arrival as the Basin View Fire Brigade pulled up for their annual Santa Run!

Residents were delighted to see Santa himself pop out of the fire truck. Even though he had a very busy schedule ahead of him, Santa made sure to personally hand out Christmas cards to every single resident. 💌

It was a flying visit, but the joy and smiles he left behind were huge! A big thank you to our Lifestyle & Leisure team for organising the visit and a huge shout-out to the Basin View Fire Brigade for their kindness and community spirit.

Our villages have been absolutely buzzing with Christmas parties and festive cheer over the past few weeks - the joy of this time of the year is always infectious! ✨🎄

Here are a few snaps and highlights from our local celebrations. In RFBI Concord Community Village it was truly special to see our residents celebrating alongside their families and our caring staff at our events. We were also fortunate to have members of the Executive team join us to celebrate ❤️

Over at RFBI Basin View Masonic Village, we hosted a wonderful resident and relative Christmas Party. Our catering team did a fantastic job with lunch and our Leisure & Lifestyle team did an excellent job setting up the function. Our residents and their families couldn’t thank the team enough for such a great day!

RFBI Cessnock Masonic Village held its annual Christmas party with a wonderful turnout. It was fantastic to see so many families enjoying the festivities together with our residents and enjoying the festive spirit.

Did you know our annual Christmas Card Competition doesn't just result in beautiful cards - it also features fantastic prizes for the winning students and their schools! 🥳

This competition is a core part of how RFBI connects with our local communities and gives us the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the creativity of young, local artists.

Here's what our winners receive:

✨ 20 printed Christmas cards featuring their very own design!
✨ A $100 Visa gift card and a certificate for one winner from each stage: Pre-school, Primary, High School.
✨ The winning student's school receives a $50 Visa gift card!

Plus, every student who took part receives a participation certificate!

Our hearts are full in RFBI Armidale Masonic Village! ❤️

We were so lucky to again this year receive a very special visit from the "Santa for Seniors" team for a massive Christmas present drop-off. Every single one of our residents received a gift personally chosen for them!

This incredible program started right here in Armidale in 2016 with just one facility. Today, it has grown to support six senior facilities across the Armidale, Uralla, and Guyra regions, ensuring every resident in those villages has a gift to open on Christmas morning. 🎁

In the lead up to Christmas day, our wonderful staff spent time chatting with residents to find out what they’d love for Christmas, and then kind members of our local community went out and purchased those specific gifts.

Thank you to the organisers and every single person who bought a gift. You have made this morning so incredibly special for the village residents.
