Ah, 2025 - ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฉ ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐ง๐ก๐ฌ๐๐ฃ๐! ๐ช๏ธ
Hereโs an honest recap of it, no fluff ๐
First and foremost: ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฝ
To every client and couple who trusted me, every brand, vendor & biz I worked with, every freelancer who brought the magic and grit, and every single person whoโs followed, liked, shared or supported this page in any way at all - you are literally what keeps this business alive (i.e. me ๐
) and sane!
I can confirm: running a small business is fu***ng hard!
Especially one that consumes your time, energy and focus like this - where the line between personal life and business identity can get very blurred, very fast ๐ฎโ๐จ
Iโve made mistakes along the way - and learned the hard way not to make them again.
It also teaches you a LOT about yourself - the good parts, and the not-so-good ones too. Iโve learned a lot this year about how Iโm wired, and at times itโs definitely made things challenging ๐ฅด
But on the flip side - my endless passion, determination, creative curiosity and pride in what I do have allowed this business to grow and flourish in ways I couldnโt have imagined. Rebranding and changing the name just as momentum was building earlier this year was a ballsy move - and yes, I doubted it for a moment ๐ซ
Almost a year on though, I ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฃ๐ต๐ฆ๐ฅ๐ญ๐บ know it was the right decision! ๐ช๐ฝ
This year was all about ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ง๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ - reaching ๐ฎ๐บ ๐ฌ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ฆ. Creating for clients who value design, feel creatively aligned, and both trust and appreciate the work we do.
To have our work take us interstate, receive overseas enquiries, be recognised as a top florist in Australia by THE WED, and grow this community into what it is now - Iโm honestly so grateful and so bloody proud of what Iโve achieved within BOUJEEHAUS so far ๐ฅน
Onwards and upwards for 2026! ๐ฅโจ
