How georgia’s home solutions started.
From a young age I remember being told how organised I was, “you’re so neat and tidy with such a good eye for detail” I enjoyed cleaning, organising and rearranging our family home and it didn’t take long before I was cleaning, organising and rearranging the neighbours homes too! I was always complimented on my ability to place furniture and objects to make the home flow and be more cohesive. I enjoyed making beautiful spaces, putting everything back where it belonged, creating a sense of calm. Hi my name is Georgia, at the age of 27, I left the UK and made my way to Sydney, Australia. I resided in Manly with an Aunt and Uncle, I have never looked back! I left high school at the age of 16 and trained as a Chef for 4 years in the UK. I worked in restaurants and establishments in London, I had an absolute passion for food and loved entertaining for family and friends. After 16 years working as a Chef, I left the kitchen to manage a Conference Centre for the Reserve Bank of Australia, it was run down and needed a lot of love and attention. I project managed the renovation of the 30 bedroom conference facility, whilst managing 15 staff in the day to day running of the busy centre. After 9 years at the centre, I moved to the position of Office Manager and Operations support for a large Contract Caterer, managing their Head Office of 150 staff.
I decided that I needed a change of career after working in the Corporate world for 11 years. I took on the role as 'House Manager' with a beautiful family in Manly. Commencing the role the children were 5 months, 2 years and a 4 year old. The position entailed daily cooking, school runs, packed lunch preparation, after school activities, organising trades, travel bookings, health appointments, laundry, dry cleaning, health appointments for the children, all domestic household chores and of course the daily nurturing of the 3 children. Nearly 3 years has passed and the children are now at pre - school and school. Heartbreakingly, I am moving on to start my next venture.. I realised in this time, that there is a huge need for “extra help” in the homes and lives of time poor families, career minded couples working full time, and busy individuals in high powered roles, trying to juggle home, family, work life is not an easy task. The constant ni**le in the back of your mind, worrying if the house work is going to get done, who’s cooking dinner or picking up the groceries, not to mention who’s remembered to pick up the kids!!! The list is endless, exhausting and stressful on relationships. That’s where we come in, Georgia’s Home Solutions can help.............
