Calories in vs calories out still applies but how your body uses those calories is the part most people miss
When muscle is low, your body has fewer places to send the food you eat
So even on “low calories,” fat loss can stall, energy drops, and training feels hard
When you build muscle, the equation shifts
Your body uses more energy throughout the day, handles food better, recovers better, and doesn’t need you to live on less or train yourself into the ground
This is why eating more with intention and lifting properly often creates better results than constantly cutting calories and adding cardio
It’s not about doing more
It’s about setting your body up to use what you give it
So yes calories in vs calories out is a thing, but it’s not always as clean cut as that and something a simple as building a little more lean muscle tissue can give you a huge head start
