It's !

Meet Rosemary, our new Speech Pathologist to the team!

Rosemary brings a strong foundation in both paediatric and adult care, with experience across language, speech, literacy, swallowing, and social communication.

Her passion for helping others communicate and connect shines through her client-centred, evidence-based approach. 💬

With a special interest in early language intervention and swallowing, she’s excited to support individuals and families in building confidence and achieving meaningful outcomes.

Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, reading, and spending time with loved ones, bringing balance, creativity, and positive energy into everything she does.

Swallowing difficulty (dysphagia) is the medical term for swallowing difficulties. It can affect everything from eating and drinking to taking medication and even managing saliva. It can also increase the risk of food or liquid “going down the wrong way” into the lungs.

Did you know 1 in 17 people will develop dysphagia in their lifetime 💡

The good news is support is available. Speech Pathologists can help by recommending tailored exercises, strategies, safe swallowing techniques, and appropriate food and drink textures all to improve safety and quality of life.

If you or someone you care for is having trouble swallowing, early support can make a big difference.

Play is a powerful tool for supporting a child’s development.

Through pretend play, children build language, explore emotions, develop problem-solving skills, and learn how to interact with others.

Our therapists use play as a meaningful way to support learning and development. By following a child’s interests, they help expand play skills from early exploratory play, to parallel play, and eventually to more complex cooperative play with others.

As Jean Piaget said,
“Play is the work of childhood.” ✨

At Allied X, we are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by remarkable women, both within our team and in the communities we proudly serve.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the spirit of “Give to Gain”, recognizing that when women share their knowledge, support one another, and uplift their communities, we all grow stronger together.

With the majority of our staff being women, today holds even greater significance for us. Every day, these incredible women give their passion, expertise, and compassion to the work they do. In return, they help create a thriving, supportive, and empowering environment for everyone.

It’s the energy, generosity, and leadership of these women that make Allied X the compassionate and inspiring place it is.

We attended the recent Able Meet Eastern Suburbs networking event at Randwick Golf Club. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with other organisations, support coordinators, and professionals within the NDIS community.

The speed networking format made it easy to meet a range of providers and learn more about the amazing work happening across the Eastern Suburbs. Events like this are a great reminder of how important collaboration is in supporting participants and their families.

Thank you to Able Plus for organising such a well-run event. We’re looking forward to continuing the conversations and strengthening partnerships within the community! 🤝
