Following pregnancy and breastfeeding, some women notice changes in breast volume, skin elasticity, or position. Depending on the individual, procedures such as breast augmentation, mastopexy (breast lift), or a combination of both may be discussed during consultation.

Every patient’s anatomy, medical history, and circumstances are different, which is why a personalised assessment with a qualified surgeon is important when considering any surgical procedure.

This patient presented with significant neck and upper back pain associated with breast ptosis and excess tissue. After a detailed consultation and surgical planning, she underwent breast reduction to a C/D cup proportionate to her frame.

The procedure focused on relieving physical strain while reshaping and repositioning the breast for improved balance and symmetry.

Every surgical plan is tailored to the individual, with careful consideration of anatomy, goals and long-term outcomes.

If you’re considering breast reduction, a consultation is the first step in understanding what’s involved and whether it’s appropriate for you.

If you’re preparing for surgery, questions are part of the process - and there is no such thing as a silly one.

Dr Johnny Kwei encourages patients to ask anything that comes to mind, even if it feels obvious or self-explanatory. Feeling informed, comfortable, and reassured before a procedure is an important part of surgical planning.

Many want to hear about the pricing of surgery. Costs can vary depending on a range of factors, which is why pricing is not listed online. All procedure costs, hospital fees, and associated details are discussed during your initial consultation so you receive information specific to your individual circumstances.

If you’re unsure whether a procedure may be covered by Medicare, you can refer to the Department of Health MBS Online resource or contact Dr Kwei’s rooms for guidance.

You can find more FAQs on the website. If your question isn’t listed, you’re always welcome to reach out to the team online or by phone - they are more than happy to assist.
