Me: peacefully working. Magpie: “Is that… symmetrical?” 
This girl flew in while I was working on the latest mural for the studio. She hasn’t said much, but the side-eye suggests I need to work on my composition. She’s holding space, (mostly) holding judgment, and probably holding her tongue (beak?) while questioning my line work.

Guess I work under supervision now…

As the new year arrives, we pause.  A door has opened.

Before we step fully through, we take a breath—to feel the threshold beneath our feet, to honor the quiet courage it takes to begin again.

In yoga, we understand that beginnings are not rushed leaps. They are intentional steps. Invitations to arrive with awareness, curiosity, and trust.

This doorway doesn’t ask us to be ready or perfect. It asks only that we show up as we are, carrying forward the wisdom we’ve gathered and releasing what no longer needs to follow.

As one door has closed, another now stands open.
 We step forward gently, welcoming the new—the growth, the unfolding, the unknown beauty waiting to meet us.

As one door closes, another opens

As this year comes to a close, we pause.
 One door is gently closing.

Before we step forward, we take a breath to honor what’s been—the lessons learned, the challenges that shaped us, the moments of joy, rest, and resilience.

In yoga, we know that endings are not empty spaces. They are sacred pauses. Moments to soften, to release, to say thank you.

Today, we don’t rush ahead. We bow to this chapter as it completes, trusting that what is meant to stay has already rooted itself within us.

Tomorrow, we’ll welcome what’s opening.

Come for a drive with me!

From the carpark at 6-8 Bridge Road, turn left onto Hunter St, and then right at the lights onto Bridge Rd. Follow until you get to two roundabouts, cross the first and turn left at the second onto King Rd.

Take a first left onto Salisbury Rd and the first right onto Leighton Place. Follow the road—you’ll see a bright white building on top of a ‘cliff’—that’s the building.

You’ll need to drive all the way past it to turn left onto the driveway. From there, stay to the right to get to the top level. OM is in the middle unit of the middle building 😊♥️

⭐️ Exciting News — We’re Moving! ⭐️

Hi beautiful community,

We’re thrilled to share that OM is moving to a beautiful new location—just a few minutes away from our current space!

Our new home is a brand-new unit with plenty of parking, making your visits smoother and more comfortable. The space is bright, welcoming, and designed to support a peaceful, grounding practice. It is currently getting a makeover to make it perfect for your practice, and we can’t wait for you to see it!

To give us time to move in and take care of the finishing touches, our current studio will close from 21 December. Then, get ready to roll out your mats with us again because…

We officially open in our new space on 3 January!

We can’t wait to welcome you there and continue growing, breathing, and flowing together.

Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our community. Your energy, presence and the warmth you bring are what make OM feel like home. We can’t wait to welcome you into our space!

THERE’S STILL TIME!

You can still register for the yoga basics workshop at the OM Movement this Friday!

This two-hour workshop will cover fundamental poses, focusing on alignment and technique and emphasizing the coordination of breath with movement. It is suitable for beginners with little to no prior experience, as well as experienced yogis who want to dive deeper into their practice.

**Sound Healing at OM**

The end of the year is nearly here, and we have a very special treat for you to celebrate another year of yoga and meditation at OM!

This Sunday, December 22, instead of our usual flow and meditation at 4.45pm, we will follow our flow with a Sound Healing by special guest Kris Haigh from Trifold Energy.

Kris is a practitioner of Traditional Tibetan Sound Healing who has over fifteen years of experience in Energetic Healing and Vibrational Medicine. Tibetan Sound Healing is an ancient healing modality that uses certain sounds, frequencies and vibrations to release old, stagnant and blocked energies to produce an immediate sense of wellbeing.

Yoga Studio in the heart of Hornsby

Located in the heart of Hornsby on Sydney's leafy North Shore, the OM Movement offers its clients an oasis to leave behind the stresses, hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The studio opened its doors in 2013 as Living OM and has been offering yoga classes to everyone from first time practitioners, to experienced yogis, to professional athletes ever since.

You can come in for one of our heated flow classes to work up a great sweat, or maybe you prefer a softer, more restorative yin practice, a breath focused kundalini session or a guided meditation class.

We offer unheated lunchtime classes for our local desk warriors, and host student groups from high schools offering yoga as part of their PDHPE curriculum at our studio.
