We had our HopeStreet Woolloomooloo Community Christmas Festival yesterday! What a day! The weather was beautiful, we had over 100 locals attend, with lots of food and fun. Kathy and the NEW Woolloomooloo Community Choir provided the singing - Thank you. A big thank you to Glenmore Road Public School for providing all the gifts. A big thank you to the JohnStaff team (https://www.johnstaff.com.au/) for providing, preparing, cooking and serving all the food! It is their 8th year doing it - Thank you. Thank you to all the corporations, individuals, and Churches who also generously gave to the event

Wow, that was quick ... We raised the $900 for our fridge freezer - A big thank you to all who gave. We now want to fill it, an additional $2000 could provide 200 nourishing meals to people in our community:

More meals. Less waste. More hope. That’s what one new freezer will mean for BaptistCare HopeStreet here in Woolloomooloo.

Thanks to generous food donations, we can feed neighbours doing it tough every day. But without a new vertical freezer, we can’t store enough of that good food safely. Valuable supplies could go to waste, meaning people on our own streets risk going without.

💜 The freezer we need would allow us to:

• Store more donated meals and ingredients
• Reduce food waste
• Keep nutritious food ready for when neighbours need it most
