Today Warren Asquith met with a Recreational Therapist at Royal Rehab and left some adaptive joysticks and buttons for their clients to test out with the gaming systems. Designed with Solidworks CAD and 3D printed.

On the weekend, as well as the drink holder, we also handed over the updated version of our dog treat dispenser to Kirrily. Kirrily helped us to design the first version. This version is more streamlined and tougher, meaning it can stay attached when travelling in the van.

Delivered our latest solution to Kirrily today. This device adapts between being a cup holder and an umbrella holder. Made of a combination of off-the-shelf parts and custom designed, 3D printed components. Finished off in hot pink, of course!

We started Better Day Solutions to provide innovative, affordable, assistive technology. We want to fill the gap where “off-the-shelf” items either aren’t available or don’t meet your specific needs. Here is a summary of the process for having us create a solution for you:

1. Identify the need for an assistive technology solution that isn’t available off-the-shelf. You might have an idea for a solution already or maybe you have just worked out that there is a barrier to something you want to do and need a way around it!
2. Contact us for an obligation-free chat. Get in touch via messages and we will organise a time to catch up in a format that suits you.
3. Proposed solution(s) and quote. We will get back to you with a proposed solution (typically with options) and a quote.
4. Manufacture, trial, modify (if needed) until…your solution is delivered. We’ll create the agreed-on solution and then give you the chance to try it out, then make any modifications that might be needed until the solution is fit-for-purpose.

We’re excited to announce the upcoming FREE All-In Sports Day in Parramatta, organized in celebration of the International Day of People with Disability.

This special event aims to encourage people living with disabilities to try new activities, get active, meet new friends, and learn more about the sports they love. We would love you to help us spread the word and inspire more individuals to join us for this empowering day.

Handover of another dog treat dispenser yesterday to Siobhan and Winter. This was a great example of truly customised design for the individual. Modifications made compared with the initial dispenser for Kirrily's Paws Time include:

* smaller activation button
* more durable material used in 3D printing
* switched to right hand side operation
* smaller catching bowl/tray for treat delivery
* flexible post to catching bowl/tray for shock absorption in case of accidental impact

Did you know that as well as being a crazy dog lady, Jody is also a certified professional dog trainer? Check out and like Think Dog.

We can create simple devices for assistance dogs, such as the macrame grip, and then train your dog to use them. On the other hand, our remote operated dog treat dispenser is highly complex and required Warren to use his computer modelling abilities and to develop skills in 3D printing and electronics!
