The team from the Silc Coop houses are so genuinely engaged and connected with the people they support, and you can see it straight away in the smiles, the ease, and the comfort everyone feels.

We’ve always built The Stockyard organically, through hard work, care, and a whole lot of heart.

With the time pressure around this transition to ensure our new space caters to the needs of our participants, we’ve had to acknowledge that we can’t do it all on our own.

Taking the time to truly know each participant, their communication style, their joys, their worries, and their world, is what allows real growth to happen.

Consistency and familiar routines can be life-changing.
Knowing who will be there, what the day looks like, and what to expect creates safety. And when someone feels safe, they can learn, explore, regulate, and thrive.

It’s in the small, repeated moments, the same faces, the same rhythms, the same trust, that confidence grows.

That’s where independence is built.
That’s where meaningful progress happens.
